Third Ace

This was the 10th annual Redlands Mesa Open held at the Jim Engh design. The amateur event is has both open and senior divisions. On the first hole we played, number 10, a par five, one of the players had a double eagle. The 12th hole we played, #3, a par three was playing 176 yards. I play Titleist AP2 irons and hit a 5 iron. I felt a bit off the toe so I thought I might be a little short of the hole. Since the flag was visible but not the hole, we were not sure were the ball came to rest. As we approached the green, we saw one ball short of the green; it was identified as one of the other player's balls. The third player (who previously had the double eagle) looked in the hole and found my ball! I finished the day with 16 pars, 1 birdie and an ace. Finished the tourney at 2 under and was tied for the low score on the senior side at 142. Ironically all three aces I have are with Titleist Pro V1 balls and each ball is a #1!
