A beautiful 60 degree Thanksgiving day in Buffalo, NY. Playing in a fivesome at my home course, Westwood Country Club, I hit a punch 7 iron into the wind at the island green 141 yard 8th hole. Playing the hole earlier in the week I had hit an 8 iron about 10 feet below the back hole location and watched the ball spin back another 25 feet. So, this time I took extra club to get it past the hole. It landed about 15 feet above the hole and then started rolling very slowly backward. Then it disappeared. With the low sun angle on this late fall day we weren't one hundred percent sure it had gone in until I got on the green and pulled it out of the hole.
