This spring will mark ten years I have been playing golf and I have never had a hole in one, although I have had a few close calls. The closest call was about 5years ago on the 17th hole at tobacco road golf course in North Carolina which is in my home town. That day the ball did a horseshoe lip out, but on 12-2-12 it went in and stayed in. The ball actually stuck between the pin and the lip of the cup for about 10 seconds and then fell. Both of the guys playing with me watched it as well. I hit a pitching wedge from 142 yards to a down hill green, the ball hit about 4 or 5 yards right of the pin and spun left and down the hill and went in. Sweet revenge for my first hole in one ever and I can't wait to try for another!
