I started using yellow golf balls last year because of their high visibility. I used to joke that "with my luck" I'd get my first ace with one them and have to display a yellow ball for the rest of my life. I was using a yellow Titleist DT Solo when I teed up on the 11th hole at Stony Creek Golf Course in southeast Michigan on April 17th, 2013. In the past, I used my PW but often missed the green, left, right, or short. This time I decided to go with my 9 iron and swing smooth. My golf partners saw it bounce and disappear and thought it was in the cup. I was sure that it bounced on and over the green because I used a 9 iron instead of my PW. My buddies were correct as it was resting in the bottom of the cup when I dared to take a peek! So now I have to display a yellow ball in a glass case on my desk, but at least it says "Titleist" on it!
