I was at a charity event benefiting the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America at Tedesco CC in gorgeous Marblehead, MA. A cool, but lovely late summer day paired with a friend Ray Tomasko, in a foursome with two other golfers who lived in the area.

I teed off first, stuck it behind the pin and it rolled towards it. Because there was a small hill in front of the green, we did not see it roll in. I then had to wait for my partners to all tee off - torture. We rode up to the green and did not see a ball on or near the green. A a partner said - I think it's in the bleeping hole. I fast-walked to the hole and there it was - I leaped for joy.

There was a woman from the charity to collect bets for closest to the pin. She started hollering - "a hole in one, a hole in one". It was the first hole in one at the charity event in its 25 year history.

I guess I made history:) My 15 minutes of fame
