After years and years of waiting the moment finally came at Oceanside, CA's Arrowood Golf Course on August 11, 2015. Strange as it may seem, the shot was worth the wait. Absolutely nailed a 6 iron about 165 yards with about as high a trajectory as possible. Started right of the flag and just bit by bit tracked exactly towards the stick. Ball mark was about 6 feet short. The green was slightly elevated so I did not actually see it fall. So I reviewed the shot with one of my playing partners, pointed to the ball mark, identified the ball I was playing, and lastly asked him please to check the cup. There it was!!! Excitement combined with relief is perhaps the best way I can describe my reaction. The image of this "perfect" shot will now be replayed in my mind forever!!!
