After a threesome got off the green and were waiting by the green for the next tee box I teed up and hit my five iron to the 185 yard pin. The ball landed about 3 feet short of the the pin then seemed to disappear into the hole. I wasn't totally positive that the ball had gone in since there was not any response from the three players that were by the green. As I walked up, I asked them if they had seen my shot (they were only about 20 yards from the green in their carts under a tree). One of them said he heard the ball land but didn't see it. I mentioned that it looked like the ball had gone in the hole. One of the other players said to check the hole first. After watching me walk to the hole and seeing my excitement in reaching for my ball they quickly got off their carts and congratulated me. I was thankful that the threesome was there to witness. Only my second hole in one!
