The Hole In One , that wasn't

I have had two hole in ones, but this is about the one that wasn't. I was playing at Brock Park, a City owned course in Houston, Texas. There were two pin placements on each hole and the flag was rotated as each group went through. When we came up the flag was toward the right center of the green. I hit a pitching wedge a little left of the pin. The ball took one bounce rolled a short distance and disappeared. It had gone in the hole that would be the pin placement for the next group. My playing partners were all heart as we came up on the green they walked over looked in the hole and said man that is a tough lie I think you are going to have to take an unplayable and drop. I know there are a lot of hole in ones but how many of these happen. Your Thoughts or comments will be appreciated. Ron King
