I recorded the fourth ace of my career at my home club, El Cabellero Country Club, in Tarzana, California on February 28, 2017. On our 6th hole, a 185 yard par three, I hit my Titleist AP1 716 5 iron, with my Titleist Pro V1 X ball, to about 20 feet short of the pin. My playing partners and myself could not tell where the ball ended up. As we approach the green we saw no ball and I assumed I was long. We walked up to the green to find the ball in the hole. it had landed short of the hole and simply rolled into the cup. A good shot and a little luck can go a long way. El Cab is a classic Robert Trent Jones, Sr. golf course, which has hosted a number of LPGA events, SCGA and USGA qualifiers and championships. I was honored to ring our hole-in-one bell and buy a bunch of drinks for my fellow members.
