Tour Seeding of Prototype Titleist Irons Starts at TPC Potomac

Before the gates open tomorrow morning at the Quicken Loans National and before the first fans set foot on the grounds of TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm, there will be a buzz building as our golf club team gears up for the tour introduction of the new family of prototype Titleist 718 irons.

Many of the best golfers in the game will be playing a vital role this week in our tour seeding and performance validation process as they work with our Tour Reps and R&D teams to put these prototypes through their paces. This is a critical step in our launch process and it is on these proving grounds where we ensure every Titleist club is delivering on our brand promise of innovation, performance, and quality excellence.

This is the first stop along the journey and we’ll be working across the worldwide professional tours in the coming weeks to capture feedback from players around the globe. On the heels of the tour introductions, we’ll also start working with our network of fitters, product specialists and trade partners to make sure they can provide you with the best possible fitting and trial experiences once the products are ready for launch.

In the meantime, stay tuned to Titleist.com (sign up for special 718 product alerts by clicking this link) and our social channels (follow us on InstagramTwitter and Facebook) as we share more Titleist 718 product details and take you inside the technology and under the hood, in the coming months.

Are these the production model based on the c16 prototypes from last year? I am playing with a set of C16's, I love them and have been told and agree with some opinions that they are better than PXG.

These have been getting a ton of buzz all over the internet today.  Can't wait to try them in September.   Maybe I'll have to lock my credit card away before the trip..ha

Love the look of the new irons.  Can you clear up a little confusion?  Where does the AP3's fit into the iron lineup?

    Thanks,

If you are looking for some nonprofessional input on those new #Titleist718's, then you have found your man.  Avid golfer, plays several times a week, and a very willing participant.  1.5" longer than standard, 1 degree upright, and 1/8" oversize on the grip, just in case you would welcome that type of feedback.  Good luck with the introduction and testing.
