The popularity of golf in Ireland has been underlined this week, as the Irish Open has become the first regular season event on the European Tour to completely sell out for all four days.
The world renowned Royal Portrush Golf Club, opened in 1888, is widely recognised as one of the finest links courses on the planet. At 7,143 yards and playing to a par of 72, the course will be a stiff test for the players - especially when you throw in forecasted rain and high winds!

Local favourites Rory McIlroy and Michael Hoey were big draws for the crowds and they are sure to enjoy raucous support during the event.
Rory had spent Monday with Titleist Tour Technician Mattias Jelver at his home testing the prototype Titleist 913 Drivers. According to Mattias' feedback, the results were very positive!!!
