  1. I use to hit my driver close to 300 yards with my old driver and ever since I have gotten my 910D2 driver its hard to get the ball that far. And also I seem to hit a lot of line drives and not getting the ball up in the air with a normal ball flight. I try to tee the ball up higher but I normally just pop the ball up. Any tips?

  2. First check the loft on your 910. If the same as  driver u may need more loft. The other thing is to try and move the ball back in your stance just a little and that way u r making sure it is square at impact. Move it just a ball or two. Last thing is could try a ball change. Technology of the 910 is really geared toward a higher compression ball. I highly recommend the pro v1x or prov 1.

A lot of people under-estimate the importance of using the correct shaft.  Were the shafts similar in weight distribution and flex? My guess is that your old shaft gave you a better (probably lower) launch angle than your new shaft.

First of all it probably isn't the driver.  No matter what they want you to think, no club it a magic club that automaticly makes play. better. Try moving the ball up in your stance and if that doesn't work ask the pro at the course you play at.  If that doesn't work you can blame the club.  Titleist Drivers are built with a smaller clubhead.  You could try a club with a longer head like the Burner Superfast 2.0. (not i am not trying to take buisness away from Titleist, im just stating the facts)

The driver shaft is likely shorter on the Titleist than on the other.  Are you still the same distance from the ball?  You might want be either leaning a little more or holding your arms out a little further.  When I get the same results, I need to get a little closer and a little taller and get back my max distance.

The 910 d2 and the superfast 2.0 are both 460cc Heads so you are not stating the facts correctly.

The Superfast has a 46" shaft and I believe the lie angle is 59*.  The 2007 Burner had a 45 3/4" shaft and 58.5 lie angle.

Yes that are both 460cc but all that is saying is that the volume of the driver head is the same. The shapes are different.  Titleist drivers are more centered that than TM drivers because, like the burner, the clubhead has made weight at the back of the head so when you swing it is easier to get under the ball and hit it into the air. I know because I use the burner 2.0 last year because I wasn't getting the ball in the air enough. Now that I fixed that problem I am looking to get Titleist woods because they are smoother that TM but for people who need help with trajectory it might not be a bad choice.

Head shape also has a lot to do with the ball flight. if the head is longer then it will promote a higher ball flight. TM often make there stock clubs so they launch mid to high.

try practicing with that club at a driving range.

If you are popping the ball up, your downswing is a bit steep.

I look around the driving range and see all these people teeing the ball up about 3".  I tee mine up about an inch and a half and it works just fine; any higher (like 2") and I hit moon balls.  Any lower I take dirt. Agree with the others in that if you play the ball a little more forward you launch it higher.  Teeing the ball where half of it shows above the crown has worked in the old days and continues to work these days.

Look at the lie angle and shaft length of your driver vs a Titleist.

Standard lie angle and shaft length on 99 percent of Titleist drivers is 58* and 45" (that even includes 975D and 985K.  I will admit that a 975D has a rather low ball flight and a 983K a bit higher.

HIgh or low ball fiight also depends on the shaft you use.  In 2007, I had an X speed driver (given to me by my dad as b-day present).  It had a ProForce ATR stiff shaft and I teed it up 2" and it went straight but had a very high ball flight.  Grafalloy Pro Launch Blue  has a high ball flight (I had a G2 driver between 2008-beginning of 2011; I tended to hit a power fade with it).  I currently use a 2007 Burner HT Draw M flex with the shaft shortened to 44.5" (with a Winn Lite Dri Tac grip to maintain swingweight)) and it has a lower ball flight than many of the 10.5 neutral drivers I have used; it is a 13* club with senior flex and I have hit it  as far as 270 yards but generally between 220-240 but the ball goes straight down the center of the fairway consistently.
