Granted they don't do elevation adjustments, but for general purpose accuracy, does anyone have experience using hunting range finders for golf? They certainly can be $100+ less expensive. I aim for the center of the green and not the pin anyway, but the distances to hazards/dog leg corners would be easier than a low end GPS.
A while back I bought a cheep range finder for like 100 bucks but it was a total waste because it never worked well and you could only get measurements from inside 100 yards. If you want my advice I would just bite the bullet and get a nice bushnell rangefinder. Even though they are expensive, they are well worth it.
