OMG, that was all it took!!!!

ben l

Just played this past weekend here in Atlanta. One of my new co-worker was a collegiate golfer also know as "awesome". I was playing my usual inconsistent golf and on the back nine I decided to ask him for a critic of my swing. He pointed out that I was swaying a tad on my take away and to just to keep my lower body stacked. I proceed to strike one of the best 5 iron in a long time from a crappy area onto the green!!

We laugh so hard it was like we won the Ryder Cup. Sometimes that is all it takes. Let the addiction live on!! Can't wait to get out there again.

Great, funny how a little tip like that makes such a difference. I was given the same tip from a PGA Professional! Things like this keep us hooked.

My buddy noticed last week I was sliding my hips at the beginning of the downswing rather than turning. After a few practice swings diligently focusing on turning towards the target, I hammered one at least 320. Now that is a little longer than normal, but I started hitting it much better overall.....It's the little things that keep us coming back.......

I remember getting a lesson from a PGA pro here in Ireland.
It was amazing how the most simple little pointers he gave me made a massive difference to my consistency

I had a tendency to overcomplicate things from years of playing without lessons, but a few simple tips seen me drop from a 24 handicap to 15 in a matter of weeks!

Golf really is all in your head

That feeling is why we play golf!

The dreaded sway, my arch enemy, nemesis, the bane of my golfing existence! I'll be cruising right along hitting fairways with very good distance then it happens, I sway like Axl Rose with his microphone stand and pop it straight up in the air. Really could use tips on containing the beast!
