Ok TT, I need your help!
In March myself and a fellow TT member will be on a business trip in Vegas. We are going to fly in a day or two early so we can swing the sticks for at least 18, if not 36. What courses should we look to play??
I appreciate it!
I played Vegas National a couple of years ago. It's pretty reasonable cost-wise for a championship course and since it's so close to the strip, it's a cheap cab ride.
The really nice touch was GPS in the golf carts. Huge help on an unfamiliar course.
Good luck and enjoy your trip.
TPC Las Vegas......you won't go wrong. What a lay out. Enjoy....
If money is not a problem. You need to check out Shadow Creek. http://www.shadowcreek.com/pages/index_main.asp If you are staying a MGM property then you get 50% off of the greens fees and transportion from ou hotel. Just book it through you hotel. My next choice would be The Revere Golf Course. It is a Troon course. I have played both and you won' be disappointed.
Consider paiute or revere they both have mutiple courses so 36 holes is very gettable..
VEGAS!!!! I'm going for my friends bachelor party in May and well be doing the same thing. Keep the recommendations coming TT.
On another trip I played desert pines and it was so so. It's overpriced, but a fun course. I wouldn't play it again unless it was half price.
Paiute golf courses are hard to beat. 3 courses that are always in perfect shape. Great prices and treatment.
So many courses, so little time.
Rio Secco was a pretty stiff cab ride, but if you have a rental, this is where Wendy's Challenge is over the winter with the PGA, LPGA, and Champions go against each other. Home to the Butch Harmon school. Wynn's has other choices as well. I found a web site at the time that rated about 25 courses.
I was too late to get a time at LV National for the day I had, so Badlands was the price/distance choice via cab. The signature 18th with a 185 yard carry tee shot from the whites was a little rough on me with the rental clubs I had.... Only got a stinger for 183-184 carry.
The views at Wolf Creek will take your breath away. Unfortunately I hear they have some issues with the greens. Call and ask what the deal is. One of my favorites places to spend the day. Rio Secco is awesome. All three Paiute courses are great. Bali Hai and Wynn are on the strip but both very expensive. Worth it if you ask me. Cascata ($$$) is unbelievable. Bears Best is a good one. Golf is not cheap in LV but memorable. I go out every fall.
If, you get a chance to visit Scottsdale, spend some at the Phoenician. Great view and that golfing is not bad, either.

Paiute courses are very nice. You might want to try Badlands also. Bring a few extra balls for Badlands.
As Scott mentioned Wolf Creek in Mesquite, Which is about an hour + North of Vegas on I-15 is very nice. Although they did just replace their greens I heard they are coming in well just a little slow. Gonna go there next week :)
Also Primm has two Tom Fazio design courses that are really nice.
I appreciate the help! I will start to look into all these courses. I will make sure to hop on here and let everyone know what we played and if I recommend it.
Keep them in the fairways TT,
Love Primm as well Brent. It’s about 45 minutes away but again worth the ride. Had a hard time finding it the first time we went there (actually in Cali) but a really nice layout.
The Badlands is a nice track at a reasonable price.
