    Hi TT,

Have any of you been lucky enough to play TPC Boston?

Brian D'Gooooooogs and I were fortunate enough to play TPC Beantown on Monday.  What a course!

It really gives you a healthy dose of perspective on how good the guys on Tour actually are.  We played from the back tees (for mere mortals), and the Pro tees were easily another 30-100 yards back in the woods on every hole.  The course requires a lot of accuracy on the greens, and once you get to the dance floor your works is far from over.  The putting surfaces were very tricky (if you get the chance to play, hit 90% of your putts straight.  You'll thank me later).

This was my approach from 17, another couple of push ups and protein shakes and I would have cleared this mound.  Look how tiny this green is!

The new and improved 18th (remodeled last year) really adds teeth to this short par 5.  If you go over the green, just head to the clubhouse...

D'Gooooooogs rolled me for some coin, but I'll get him next week at TPC River Highlands.

I have been able to play it quite a few times.  The most fun was with a group of us that played it on the Tuesday after the Tour event.  We did this for 5 years,  we played the Monday tees and the Monday pins.

    Nice Josh!  Sharp ICON's too...

Would love to play TPC Boston at some point.  The PGA Playoffs are there and would make for a memorable event indeed!  Good luck at River Highlands in CT next week!

Nice!  Glad to hear you guys made it out.  That course is on my list to try to get on when I make a trip up to Boston.  Hopefully that trip comes sooner rather than later.

    Enjoy your River Highlands!

    Josh,

Great pics and great opportunity.  I agree when you are headed to another TPC @ River Highlands right after.  That is a great stretch of golf in a short period of time!!

I am glad you liked it. I live about 600 yards off the back of the 6th tee box in Norton. I have watched the course mature over the years and have seen the redesigns improve the course to what it is now

it is certainly a great test of your skills

i have enjoyed all of the Labor Day tournaments over the years, now part of the fedex playoffs

next time your in town, let me know and I will come over to say hello.  It always a pleasure meeting fellow TT members

    Hi TT,

Thanks for all the responses.  This whole month is a golf frenzy.  2, 3 day, member guests, 2 TPC outings, and my club championship.  My Wife isn't thrilled, but when you only get 5-6 months of good golf, you've gotta make it count!

Chris, I'll let you know next time I get the MC thing again.  I'm sure they'll do it next year.  It's a great event

19th I'm sure you lit it up from the big boy tees.  I'm not sure I'd break 90 playing from the tips.

Todd, I'm glad you like the Icons.  I'm surprised you haven't been up.  It's not far from RI, and I know you're a well connected (and an unreal player)

Brain, that's an awesome picture with the 20 million dollar man.  Playing that track often would make you two things: Really good at golf, and spoiled with course conditions.  I'll be sure to shoot you a note next time I'm around the Norton area.

Josh, certainly keep me in mind. The best part of the whole Hendrik experience was the impression he left on my boys. He was a very fine gentleman and family man for certain. He is also a ton of laughs. The group had a great time and what an honor to have played with him in the pro-am. His caddie Garrett is also a hoot.

After the tournament he saw us as he was leaving and took the time to sign an official pin flag as well as a few ProV1x's for my kids

Great story Brian.  I love hearing about Tour starts being down to earth.  That's very cool of him.

    Thanks for sharing.

Nicely done.  TPC Boston is a different monster compared to TPC River Highlands.

Have you played both?  This was my second time out on Boston, but Monday will be my first time on Highlands.  I can't wait
