Has anyone participated in the Bandon Dunes Summer Solstice?

Walking 72 holes in one day will be an accomplishment, but I find it odd I'm nearly as concerned about the amount of ammo I may need.

    Time to hit the gym...

I'm out.  The 15 hours or so of daylight doesn't allow me enough time for my mandatory nap between rounds.

Sounds like an interesting day. I have done 54 holes in one day walking at my home course and I was beat afterwards, I can't imagine having the stamina to play an additional 18.

I can't imagine walking 72 holes in a single day. Especially up and down with elevation changes. 36 is certainly doable and I have done 54 once (probably never again) and 72, well I will just leave that up to the guys (and gals) who are younger and in better shape!

I have always wanted to try the Solstice 72 at Bandon, but the planets haven't lined up for me yet.

As for the ammo needed, they do sell beautiful Titleist balls in all of the golf shops there, so you can reload as needed.  Besides, you never know what you might find while looking for one of your playing partner's lost pellet.   (Yes, I said playing partner.  That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.)

Sounds amazing but not sure I could walk that many but that is great motivation to get back in shape and add to bucket list!!
