Is it the wrong ball?

First of all, the pro v1x is supposed to go higher of the tee. I like to use the pro v1 because of the soft feel and exceptional distance but if you don't like too much spin you should try the new

If you haven't already been fit, one solution would be to check out the shafts you have on your clubs and maybe get fit for ones that kick lower for a lower trajectory. My only advice for the driver would be to tee it lower and another more drastic measure would be to find a ball that maybe isn't a Titleist (GASP!) Atleast you don't hit you shots low like I tend to. :P

Hope this helps, and best of luck to you.

What are the main differences between the 2 pro v balls. I'm a 3 handicapper and have been playing the Pro V1 for years. Never really gave the V1x much thought. I hit my tee shots with a mid to high flight. Same with my low to mid irons. My long irons are more of a mid flight. I hit about 60-60% of my fairways and 65-70% of my greens.

Maybe try the NXT tour s

I was fitted for all my clubs. The driver is a 910D3 with an X Diamana shaft. I will give the Pro V1 a try and see what happens. I've hit the NXT Tour in the past, but I prefer the extra control the ProV1's get me.

Apparently your new swing is the problem.

When you make a change that doesn't, then unchange it, don't expect equipment changes to fix it.

The proV1 spins a little more than the proV1x because its a little softer.  The advantage of this is that you will be able to work the ball easier if you desire, but the disadvantage is that it won't fly quite as straight.  As far has height goes I don't think there will be a big difference between the 2 balls, but I think the proV1 would go higher if anything.

The new swing may have changed things, but there is a difference when I use the range balls. At the range, my ball flight is much lower. I'm trying the prov1 on Tues.

I have used V1, and V1x  this year.  I think the v1x does launch a bit higher off the driver, and gives me 5 yards more distance.  However I like the extra spin and softer feel of the v1, and the workability.

dude - if 90% of the tour pros around the world are using the ProV1X there is absolutely nothing wrong with that ball, plain and simple.  Same for the ProV1.

If you are hitting your driver too high, either your angle of attack is too steep, too much from the outside, or the shaft/loft/or lie is not right for your swing.

Good luck

I agree with JPHB.  You may have to change your ball position or driver loft.   The ProV1 and ProV1x's are outstanding.   I have Titleist drivers from 8.5- 10.5 degrees.  Testing the new ProV1x, the 9.5 got the flight I was looking for.  The 10.5 was a bit too high for my liking.

Good Luck, keep us posted.

Your issue seems to be your driver loft. You should lower the loft on the club. BTW what course are you playing at

the prov1x is still the best for you. the problem may be involved in your swing and not as much the ball. try moving the ball back in your stance and don't try to scoop the ball as much,

My home course is Widows Walk in Scituate, MA. There are narrow fairways with trouble on both sides on every hole, and every green has big trouble on at least three sides. Wind and a high ball do not mix there.

I'm 6'5" tall. All of my clubs were professionally fitted by an advanced Titleist fitter. My driver spin was 2537rpm, launch was 11 degrees, and swing speed was 116mph. Supposedly, this is pretty close to optimal. However, I take that same swing to the ProV1x, and I get a really high ball.

I've taken many films. I don't think I'm scooping. I will try moving the ball back, but that sometimes makes the ball actually go higher due to more spin.

I have some work to do once the weather warms up a little.
