I can't believe golf ball manufactures have not come up with a ball that would go the distance when you were at your prime. If your swing speed is 75 mph you can match it so the ball will travel 240 yards. If your swing speed is over 80 that ball would not work. Tis would level the playing field. Like playing it forward. The different compression balls just don't get it done unless you swing over 100 mph thanks Ed

They can do that but it won't meet USGA specs. Personally, I'm appalled the USGA didn't change the specs when the new balls came out in the late 1990's. The solid balls should have been forced to perform like the would balls. Merion is going to be assaulted this week because the golf ball goes so much farther..
