It depends on how well you hit your irons. If your handicap is high because of your drives, putting, and chipping then you might notice a difference between balls, but if I were you I wouldn't spend an extra $20 on Pro V1's. You could buy a sleve of Pro V1's and hit some iron shots with them and see if you notice any difference between those and the balls you're using now. Good luck.

At the 30 handicap level, I would suggest using a good 2 piece ball, such as the DT-solo. It really is a great feel and performing ball for the price, and has one of the highest spin rates of any 2 piece ball. Until you can accurately control the distances of your approach irons, stopping the ball on a dime or spinning it back won't benefit your score. I would suggest trying the DT-solo and taking the extra $$$ that you save and investing in lessons....

I am taking private lessons and they seem to help. When people see a 30 'capper, they automatically assume that they have no game and have no understanding. I hit 'em great on the range today, and putting average is 37 strokes but I only hit 1 or 2 G.I.Rs in one 18 hole round. According to Titleist, greens in reg is the most important stat, and it's also my worst (5%) so please exuse me not wanting the DT Solo.
