Well, name's Andy and as of about 33 minutes ago I am a brand-spankin-new Team Titleist Member! Feels great by the way.  In any event, I'm 39 years old, played a bunch of golf competitively from the time I was 6 years of age to about 20 years old.  Years have gone by, a failed attempt at my PGA tour card back in '95, years too long in the pastorate, and finally at the age of 39 I'm going on my first "Golf Trip" with my boss (brother-in-law to boot) and another co-worker.

We are heading out on August 14th of this year for San Diego - playing Torrey Pines, Maderas, Aviara, Steele Canyon, The Crossings (Champion Course), and Sycuan.  We're ending our trip at Talega in San Clemente and will be back on the 20th.

In an event, I really wanted to know if I would be able to test the Titleist ProV1 and ProV1x golf balls on the trip.  I think this is going to be a phenomenal venue for this.  I'd also love to product test Titleist irons, as I currently have TM R9's and really would like to get a set of Titleist irons one day. Is this somethign feasible?  If so, who would I speak with.  I've been browsing the discusson boards and it looks like "Mike" is the Team Titleist Prodcut manager?  So, if that's the case and Mike, if you're reading this...would this be something Team Titlist would consider?

With all Sincerity & Stolked To Be on Team Titleist,

    Andy

    Hi Andy,

First off, welcome aboard! Happy to have you on Team Titleist.

Sounds like you have a nice trip planned and a lot of great golf to be played. I definitely appreciate the enthusiasm and eagerness to give some of the gear a test drive, but we don't have a program in place to support this.

Also, as you can imagine, we receive many requests for merchandise throughout the course of a year. Seeing as it would not be possible for us to honor every request, and, because we do not want to discriminate by honoring some and not others, it is company policy to refrain from providing complimentary merchandise.

Keep in mind, one of the great things about being a part of Team Titleist is that we have a lot of great opportunities to participate in product test panels along with other events and exclusive giveaways.

Just remember, the more you participate and the more engaged you are with Team Titleist, from posting in the discussions and adding blog comments to completing your profile, the better your chances are at potentially opening the doors to these Team Titleist opportunities.

Again, thanks for joining and we look forward to seeing more of your posts on the boards.

    Cheers,

    Mike
