I recommend the velocity for you.  It has the least spin out of the Titleist golf balls.

Try these Titleist sites out to get fit for the right golf ball for your game.  You should start out with the firmer golf balls with less spin.  The Velocity, NXT Tour, and the ProV1x are the hardest Titleist golf balls, in that order.

Try the NXT Tour or Tour S (a bit more spin). I too am a ProV1x player, but when I play alternate shot events with my wife we use the NXT Tour. They have a very nice feel around the greens.You will find that they may fly about a half club longer and they will not spin like the ProV1x.

I think you might have that backwards.  The cover hardness probably goes in that order, and spin probably does too, but overall the Pro V1x has the highest compression of the 3 so will feel firmer and the Velocity is actually the lowest compression ball of those mentioned and will feel the softest.

Ok, so at TPI last fall the fitter recommended me getting more spin believe it or not...similar to Adam Scott.  Thus, if velocity is the lowest spinning on this thread would the ProV1 be the highest spinning??

Yeah, I was talking spin.  ProV1x does have the highest compression.  I was thinking that by testing the golf balls starting with the lower compression, but still the hardest outer coating, he can more easily rule out the one that spins too much for him.

If Kevin is searching for less spin, coming from the ProV1x golf ball, he might as well start by testing the Velocity, then work his way up to the higher compression golf balls.  The Velocity has a lower launch, which would mean that it would be harder to spin.  During August when the course firms up at my home course, the golf ball spins a bit too much when it hits the greens.  To counterbalance this effect, I try to flight the ball lower and take more club.  This was the theory behind recommending the Velocity: Lower trajectory.  To find the correct golf ball for his game, however, he must test them on the golf course.

I get what you're saying....I think your recommendation was good and I agree with the reasoning behind it!
