I like a ball that's soft over a distance ball but since I'm going to be using a 12 degree driver and loose some distance I figure proV1 might be a better choice then the V1x. Any thoughts ?

What degree driver were you using before? I would choose the Prov1 it seems softer than the 1x, but a different option would be to try the NXT Tour S. I use both balls & get about 4-5 yds more from the NXT off the tee vs my V1. I use the V1 most of the time because of the iron & short game I like how it responds with less roll out from my mid irons. But either ball will give you that soft feel and your distance shouldn't vary too much either.

I'm a fairly low swing speed player 92 to 93 mph and I get more distance out of the Pro V1 than than X. But that is just my experience.

Trusoft might be good for you.

From My understanding the ProV1 is softer than the ProV1X and the X is a few yards longer. Try them both see which ones fits your game the best

The -V1 should launch a little lower that the -V1x. If you're losing distance because you're launching too high with the driver, you can set it down to 11.25.
  7. The ProV1 is softer around the greens but on any longer club they feel the same to me. Depends how you define soft?
  8. I'd go prov1 or even NXT tour S if you don't want to spend the money but ProV1 over 1x if you like sifter feel
