Titleist prototype balls

Just curious.....how are the Test Balls distributed?    Is it random luck of the draw?  Members with the most posts?   Looking for a clues on the process.   Have seen a few for sale on Ebay with bids up to $12 @.   I wish all members had a chance to test the new ball.   Even if addition option of a slight "member fee" is added to those of us who participate on TT, but missed the cut.

Any thoughts?

Go play lotto, then you can buy the test balls off of Ebay. You have a better chance that way instead of waiting for TT

I don't know how the selection process goes, but I can tell you I really like these balls.  After playing them today, I could tell you that I would purchased a couple of dozen without giving it another thought.  There wasn't a huge difference in distance, but the durability and the control I had was off the chart.  I hope they share with us what the ball will be labeled when it hits the stores.

Agreed...I really wish I knew how this process went.  I would definitely pay a slight fee to have the opportunity to test out the prototypes.

Hopefully, you checked with your tournament officials in regards to your "Test Balls" conforming or not.

When Titleist puts the "test balls" in to production, I'm sure that they'll let us know that the did, which balls were which, and that they'll be available for purchase. Hopefully soon!

It's certainly not based on the number of posts.  I've been a TT member for less than a month and I got to test them.

I'm guessing they might set up groups based on handicap and draw out a certain number from each group.  I count myself as one of the lucky ones to get selected.

As for the ball itself, I love it.  It reminded me a lot of a slightly softer version of the HP2 Tour from the late 90s.  I'm in love.  Unfortunately I lost one ball already (Titleist didn't tell me the ball would jump off the driver the way it did....310y to the lake off the tee....splash)

Hopefully I can get out and test the other 2 before it gets too cold here in KC...though is it ever really too cold?

Hi all,

Thanks for all of the feedback and great questions. In terms of the selection process, we do our best to include as many Team Titleist members as possible in these exclusive opportunities like the golf ball test panels but unfortunately we are unable to include everyone in every opportunity.

However, the more you participate and the more engaged you are with Team Titleist, from posting here in the discussions and adding blog comments to completing your profile, the better your chances are at potentially opening the doors to Team Titleist rewards, including the opportunity to participate in future product test panels, take part in exclusive sweepstakes and attend one-of-a-kind events.

We're excited to offer more of these Team Titleist perks in the future to our most dedicated members and want to know what other opportunities you would like to see.

I recieved a sleeve of the test balls.  I have completed my evaluation. Where do I log or report my test evalaution?

I liked the ball overall compared to the PROV1 x that I play. However, it was shorter off the driver.  At the same time, It spins better on shots under 100 yards and seemed to be very straight flight off all clubs.  I need the distance the X offers.  If offered a chance to switch to the test ball or the ProV1x I'd stay with the old X.

Please advise where I can submit my full report. Thanks

You might be right.  We all participate, complete profiles,  post comments on blogs and join in on the sweepstakes and surveys just like TT says.   Gotta be lucky I guess.

Hi there how can you buy the test balls because i might be interested.

How do we get them.

I was fortunate enough to get a set of the golf balls and the feel, especially from 100 yards in,  is great! Is there any chance that will we get to see any summary of feedback?  Please let us know when Team Titleist can purchase some!! I appreciate that Titleist gives us a chance to  truly be part of the team.  Thank you !

i think they just take like the first 30 or something like that

Everyone that got the test balls  is rubbing it in. I wish I had some
