KBS tour or KBS c-taper

Hi,

 

Currently playing tournament blade with KBS tour stiff.  I went to my local fitter and had my 7 iron checked on LM.

 

Club head speed: 97 mph (normally I would say 93-94 mph, not sure what got into me today)

Ball speed: 127 mph

Launch Angle: 23.2 deg

Back spin: 7791 rpm

Carry: 170 yards

Total: 173 yards

 

Do I stay with my current setup or do I move onto a stiffer shaft.  If I need to move up to a stiffer shaft, than which one?

 

KBS tour x-stiff or KBS C-taper X-stiff (soft-stepped or straight)?

You displayed some serious speed! I'd consider trying the Ctaper S ro S+ before the KBS Tour X. The unique Ctaper design lowers launch and spin compared to the KBS Tour. If we could see a 7 iron launch around 20-21 with 7,000 rpm, you'd really take advantage of your speed. RC

Yeah, I shafted c taper s+ in my 7 iron and it felt so stiff. I'm not sure if it's just because I've got used to the kbs tour feel and it's Making it feel much stiffer than it really is. Thanks

  What shaft did you end up with?  A C-Taper in a S+ flex soft stepped would be an option.
