Great Deal!  Titleist clubs hold up well if you take care of them.

Glad to have you aboard Clayton, You couldn't have picked better clubs than Titleist, but I'm curious as to why the instructors you talked to advised you as a beginner to purchase the AP2's. instead of the AP1's. The AP1's have a bigger head, and are supposed to be more forgiving than the AP2's, but maybe I'm missing something. I just purchased my AP1's about 2 weeks ago, and they are my first set of Titleist irons, and I just bought my first Titleist driver back in Sept. and like you, I'm addicted to Titleist. I've only played the AP1's once so far, but I can tell that they are great clubs, and way above all the others I've played. I'm sure they will really inprove my game once I get used to them, since for the last 5 years I've been playing hybrid irons, and the difference in the two is like day & night. If you get time, please let me know your thoughts on chooseing your AP2's  Thanks:

well kind of neat story so ill start by telling i am a beginner i played from 2010 till 2011 about 10 times i bout used set on ebay paid 150 only find out they were worn out pawn them and left {$10} 2012 did not play at all but jan 1st i desided i will learn and play.... so i called around for prices on lessons talk couple different range pros about what kind clubs to get.

my heart was on titleist but was told by many people even by titleist tech over the phone.. called one range pro he said come up here lets talk after talking a bit he said " why start with beginner clubs when you may need upgrade in couple years he recommended many type brands.....

after while i noticed the box that said titleist he said yeah we ordered them for a regular but he said not what he ordered he said we got 699 in them and hope find some regular take them for 300 he was not trying sell to me i looked and said they are mine..... he even thrown in 4 lessons and used titleist bag in great shape

i have been 20 times this year i love them im hitting 6 iron about 150 yards and straight

A $300 set of even 710s new is either a once in a lifetme event or a set of knock-offs. Keep checking Craig's List and estate sales.  Every now and again a used set on e-Bay of authentic Titleist will go below market.

i will assure you they are not knock-off they came in titleist box the heads all nicly wrapped complete with seriel number

.......the pro shop ordered them in 2011 for a regular but when they arrived they was not what he said he wanted when he ordered.......

fast forward to jan. 2013 point mallard pro-shop still having this set around for over a year going on second year drop the price from what they paid 699 to 300 just to get them out the door and not have them another year.....

maybe once in live time deal but they are mine as for greg they are out there

Great deal you got there Clayton. AP2's, nice bag, and 4 lessons for $300. You might want to contact the Sheriff, and be sure he  doesn't have a warrent out for you on theft charges. LOL. Also, you could find out how many are at the pro shop at lunch time, and order in some good pizzas for them. Just a way to say thanks. I noticed you said that you hit your AP2's straight. That's the thing I've noticed most about my AP1's. My distances are about the same as the hybrid irons that I had been playing, but I always sprayed my shots around everywhere with the hybrids, and I thought it was my lousy play, but with the AP1's I hit them straight every time, so it wasn't all me that was lousy. Good luck with your AP2's and enjoy them.

Clayton; Now I know that the Sheriff is looking for you. You may want to check the Post Office to be sure your picture isn't on their bulletin board. LOL.  Folks like this makes you want to play their course as often as you can. Good luck with your new treasure, and I'm sure the'll do you proud. See ya in the fairway Clayton.

Great to hear Clayton. My best is 91 so far, but my AP1's should help with that. Can't believe the deals your getting at you golf course. I also bought my 910 d2 last fall and thought I got a good deal for $350 since the 913's were coming out soon, and you got all that for $100 less. Your pro sure took a liking to you. Maybe you could drop my name to him next time you see him. LOL. With the deal you got, I'd say the Sheriff will turn you over to the FBI. LOL They may even reopen Alcatraz just for you. I know you'll love the 910 D2. It's a great driver. Have mine set on D4, .75* more loft, and standard lie. Take your time working with it, trying different combinations, and you'll find the setting that's right for you. I'm also thinking about a couple of wedges, and maybe a SC putter. Good luck with your new clubs. Being that were on this fine fourm, I don't think we should exchange emails, but if we can figure a way, we could corraspond our progress, and not bother the rest of the team. (that is if you want to)
