Went by my favorite pro shop today, and ordered a new GoLo S putter. Hope I made the wright choice. I looked at several SC's at another pro shop over the weekend, and tried putting several blade type putters, and they felt good, but didn't feel just wright, and didn't sink a single put. They had one GoLo S Mallet, there which looked O.K. but I've never liked a center mount straight shaft putter, but I thought I'll try it since I'm here, and to my suprise, it felt just wright as soon as I picked it up, then to my bigger suprise, I dropped 5 out of 5 10 footers with it. So I thought, I believe I've just found my putter. Went by my favorite GC Pro and he looked up all the options for me, but there were so many that it got confuseing, so I figured the one on the shelf at the other shop was probably the standard model, so I ordered it w/35" shaft, and everything else standard with 2-10gr. weights Really looking forward to getting it in 7-10 days. Any thoughts would be appriciated.

It may have been worth the travel to go back and get the specs of the putter you were using.  That way you know for sure which model you are getting.

Congrats on ordering your new SC putter today! I also ordered myself a new one today. Went with a Studio Select Newport 2 35" with std loft/lie.  I too can't wait the 7-10 days for it to arrive.  Good luck with the new putter!

Nice choice you will have to post a picture when you get it.  If it felt right for you that's all that matters.

    Norris,

It's hard to go wrong.  Scotty's can be adjusted quite a bit!

If you need to cut it down that is easy.  If it feels too light you can send in to Scotty's Custom Shop and get new weights (15 or 20 gram since yours comes with 10) or check eBay for some.

I have a Newport 2 with 10 gram weights so the head would be 350 gram which is what I prefer.

Enjoy and may you sink many putts in 2013!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that replyed to my post. Have really enjoyed reading all your thoughts, and encouregments. I have played many different brands and models of putters, and often wondered just what was the big deal about SC putters, and now I know. The SC's I hit the other day, and especially the GoLo S, felt like no other putter I've ever used. I've also thought, "why pay a lot of money for a premium top of the line putter, until I hit the GoLo S, and my pro at my GC said (and I knew this, but never really thought about it this way) "your putter is the only club in my bag that you hit on every hole, so why not play the best"  I do have one question if anyone knows,( and I'm going to play the GoLo S for a while before I decide) Can I have the alinement line painted white. It has the line now, but it is black, I'm sure it's to cut down on glare. I like a white line on my putters, but I'm going to try it for a while before I change, since I may like the black line better after I get used to it. I'll post some pix if I can figure out how to do it.

Thanks Again for all your input.   Norris:

There are several ways to have your line painted white or another color.  You can send it to the custom shop and they will strip the paint and repaint it for you or you can do it yourself.  There have been several threads on the forums from players repainting numbers on irons and wedges as well as repainting putters.

I am a happy man today !!! My new SC GoLo S came in yesterday (3-26) and I played it for the first time today, and let me tell everyone that this is the sweetest putter I've ever picked up. Depending on the day, I'm a 15-20 handycap, and today was no exception (shot +15) but my putting was better than I can remember. I had Two 2 putts on the front, anf three on the back, where I usually two putt or more on at least 10 holes. (had no "or mores" today) Just my first time out with this new putter, and it has already improved my putting way more than I was even hoping for, not to mention the more confidence it has given me in my putting. Three of those 1 putts were 12 ft. or more. Can't say enough good about my new GoLo S except THANK YOU Scotty Camron. If anyone is considering buy a new SC putter, well, stop thinking about it, and get yourself one. You won't be sorry.

Congrats on the new putter!  Glad to hear it worked well for you out of the gate.  I went back and forth on the GoLo and the Del Mar.  Can't go wrong with any Scotty but the Del Mar seemed to have a little softer feel which is what I was looking for.  Just got mine yesterday and like you, the "and mores" were gone!  Why didn't I get a Scotty sonner?!  Congrats again.

Thanks Brian; and also congrats to you on your new Del Mar. Isn't it nice to have those "or mores" just go away? Like you, I've also wondered why I didn't get a SC sooner, but we both don't have to worry about that anymore now that we've got the best. Good luck with your new putter (although you won't be needing any luck with your SC putter) and I'm sure you'll be seeing your numbers continue to come down. See you in the fairway Brian, and thanks again. BTW: Take notice now on how many people say to you "oh wow, you've got a Scotty Camron putter". I hear it quite often.
