Would love to hear everyone's opinion on the 714 CB irons. Feel, Handicap requirement, forgiveness....ect. Thanks in advance!
  2. This is a great set of irons, I would suggest you need to hit very consistently and play often to successfully utilize this set.  However they do provide a little more forgiveness than the blades but essentially they are similar to blades.  Many of my friends play AP2's for the ultimate player/forgiveness iron but for the consistent group CB and MB's are equally awesome.  I would suggest hitting them and seeing how they feel given the differences in all three models.  Handicap and your age has no bearing on the final outcome except that CB and MB's might suggest you are a low handicaper....JAT

I purchased the 714CB in March after trying the AP2's and CB's. Tried them both on two separate occasions before making my decision. Had thought I would like the AP2's best but wanted to try both before making final decision. I am a 6 handicap and played the 990 irons for 13 years before deciding to upgrade. I find with the 714CB's that I have gained back the distance I lost over the last year or so. I also find that I am able to get more height with the lower loft irons. Still playing stiff shaft and I do play 4 - 5 times per week. Like everyone else, I would suggest hitting the clubs before buying to see what feels and performs best for you.

I have had my 714 CB's for a few months now.  LOVE THEM*

I wanted the feedback of a CB blade so I could continue to improve my ball striking.  This was my first set of Titleist irons, and I couldn't be happier.  VERY VERY consistent yardage which has helped my game out. If I were you I would go get fitted, or at least find a place where you could hit a CB.  I did a lot of research and hitting before I spent all that money!  AP2's were also killer, but the CB's were too "pretty" to pass on considering I could hit both pretty well.

Overall great club.  Great feel.  Great look.  Consistent.
