Hey I'm looking to buy a new driver. Fr people who have tried both, is it worth the price tag to upgrade to the 915 or should I get a 913 for cheap?  I've heard the 915 gives you a boost in launch angle and help with spin, which are the two areas I need help in, or is that just a gimmick. Any input is great thanks

    Nate,

I have demo'd the 915 a fair amount now. I did not upgrade to the 913 and still play the 910. I can say that I was impressed with the 915D3, I found it to be a touch longer than my 910. The 915 seems to spin less (I was not on a trackman) and found it a bit harder to work the ball but that may not be a negative for many players. I don't think it is a gimmick personally, the 915 is a good head.

Now it depends on how important money is vs the benefit to you.

I would suggest either seeing a fitter or demo'ing both extensively and see which one you like best. I would not neglect the need to find the right shaft for you and the right setting (lie and loft). This could also potentially help your driver performance.

Good luck and let us know if you have any questions.

  3. Yes, it's worth the upgrade.  I own the 913, and after hitting the 915 with the correct shaft, I placed my order yesterday for the D2 driver, 3 wood, and a 21* hybrid.

I am a huge advocate of the 915D3 for dropping my spin rates, optimal launch angle, and ball speeds. Definitely worth the upgrade!
