Why is it that the most Titleist (or any brand for that matter) will only go 2 degrees flat/upright when so many people require more bend than that? I just ordered a set of 714 MB's 5-PW with 3 and 4 iron being CB's and I'm 4 flat. Also ordered 3 Vokey Wedges. Just curious. First set of Titleist clubs so I'm pretty excited either way.

There are a few reasons why manufacturer don't bend clubs that much.

Bending clubs more than 2* can leave marks on your clubs,  wrinkle or crack the finish, or they just might break.

When people need more than 2* up, for example, the clubheads are made at 2*up then bent to 3-4* up.

    Hope that helps you,

Just curious...were you fitted by a Certified Titleist Fitter?

Understand that is true from the factory, but take it to a certified fitter locally and see what he/she says.  They might do it for you. All depends on the metal I'm sure, and the added stress of excessive bending could compromise the club.    Metals do have their limits.

So I was fit by Derek Skidmore at Miles of Golf in Cincinnati. I believe he used to work at the regional fitting center in Michigan and he is their Cluboratory Manager. The Titleist guys were there that day too as I got a SAM fitting as well.
