I just received my new 915 - (D3, 7.5*, A1 Setting) with the new Rogue 125 MSI 70 TX.  I must say, I've only had a very limited chance to hit a few balls with it, but I feel like I finally have a setup (for now) that I don't have to fear going left.  It also felt great to finally update to a driver with adjustability (prior driver was a 909 D3).

With that said, since I enjoy getting into the tech behind products and since its currenlty a hot topic of discussion on GolfWRX, can someone from the Concierge Team fill me in on what differences between the Limited Edition Tour Rogue 125 MSI and the Rogue 125 MSI offered by Titleist exist.  It seems that all of the specs from the original line and the line which is being mass produced have carried-over.  However, it seems the construction of the shaft has varied some (matte finish compared to silk-screen finish) which is to be expected.  This may be more of an Aldila question, but there seems to be some misinformation out there right now.  For instance, someone at GolfWRX received an answer from Aldila claiming that all Rogue 125 shafts were crafted in its R&D facility (USA).  However, those of us who have received the new Rogue 125 in our 915s have noticed that the sticker Titleist places on the shaft states that is made in Vietnam  like the Rogue 110 and the Rogue Black 95 (it sounds like some have also verified this by pulling the grip off and looking under the tape).

The original Tour Limited Rogue 125 produced in the USA was retailing at $600 to $1000 and came with a COA.  With the Rogue 125 upgrade offered at a fraction of that cost, obviously some differences have to exist.  Any input you guys have at TeamTitleist would be appreciated.

    Thanks

As I'm considering this purchase, I'd love to hear the answer as well.

    Thanks!

I took a few shots on my phone, so there's a little glare in them.  I don't see any colored stripes though.

Kevin, thanks for raising the issue about country of origin for the Aldila Rogue Silver 125 TX shaft as it has led us to discover a mistake with the label.  Aldila was planning to shift production of these shafts from the US to Vietnam, however those plans have changed and the shafts are still being produced in the US (including the shafts that Titleist is shipping for custom orders).  We changed our country of origin label in anticipation of Aldila's shift so unfortunately our initial shipments of this shaft have been improperly marked.

I called Aldila today just to make sure I had my facts straight, and they assured me that all of these shafts are made in the US.  They did not provide any information as to if or when this will change.  Therefore, today, we changed our label to indicate the shaft is made in the US.

Thanks again for your note and attention to detail.

    Chris:

Thank you for the clarity. I have had my 915D3, with the upgraded 125 MSI Tour Stiff shaft, for a few weeks now. It is something that has weighed on me and I am glad to know the truth now...

    - Best regards, Jonathan

As an update to this thread, I finally received my D3 8.5* Tour Rogue 125 MSI TX after a very long delay of Titleist waiting for the shaft from Aldila. Not sure if the sticker issue was resolved, or if the manufacturing process has now moved, but I had the Vietnam shaft sticker on mine that just came.

On a good note, the shaft was well worth the wait! I went to a fitter I know and he helped me compare all of my combinations to be sure which was best for me since I never got a chance to go through a fitting with the 125-MSI shaft because of the demand.

I am thrilled. I'll keep my 110 MSI shaft that I got as a backup, but I look forward to playing my 125 tomorrow!

    Thanks Titleist!

Received my D2 9.5 with the tour edition 125 in it today and my sticker did indicate the shaft was indeed made in the USA. I was pleasantly surprised on the turnaround; took exactly two weeks. My local shop quoted me 6 - 8.

I still have not been able to hit this shaft and I would love to hear what people think about it. I've hit the regular Sikver 60 110 X a good amount and like it, but would love the 125 TX if it's that much better. I was actually able to get find a 110 Silver X on eBay and I even like it with my 913, so I was thinking about just moving forward with the 915 and 125 TX to be able to play them side by side and then just sell whatever shaft I like the least. Any thoughts or advice would be great. Thanks!

So you orderd that shaft upgrade from titleist ? I didn't realize that it was available to order the aldila rogue tour shaft 125msi.. How much was the up charge?? Thanks..
  13. does anyone have experience with the stiffness of these shafts. I've played a 70g stiff shaft of various brands my entire life but recently I got fitted and they suggested the 60g 110 silver rogue. They didn't have any 125's to try. If I go down to a 60g shaft should I be getting the X stiff shaft instead of the stiff?
