  1. There's quite a bit of data on the web highlighting the increased driving distances that can be achieved using a 915 driver vs a 913 and also a 910.

Obviously there are lots of variables in each player's swing but Titleist will have huge amounts of data covering a wide range of situations. I'm wondering what the average distance gain is using a 915 driver vs a 910 driver for a 90 mph swing speed. Can you help please?

Good question Ian. I'd like to hear input on this also, since I'm thinking about getting a 915D2 to replace my 910D2, and my swing speed is 83-85mph.

The USGA has limits on the COR value of the face. There is only so much distance allowed by physics. The 915 will deliver more solid shots on off center hits - less dispersion and more yardage, and the fitters will have better options to maximize carry. Depending on how well matched you are for your current driver's loft and shaft,on center strikes could be 5-25 yards. If I used a driver from a company releasing a longer driver every six months, my 87-88 mph would be up to 300 yards by now. Sadly, my primary benefit is more consistent drives with Titleist.
  4. I've been using a 910D3 for the past 2 years. Best driver I've ever had. Not any longer than the TM R1 (my previous driver), but more accurate and easier to work the ball. Recently bought the 915 D3 and have made many comparison (using the same shaft)between the 910 and 915. To me, the 915 is very similar to the TM R1. About the same distance between the 915 and 910, but a bit more accurate with the 910 and the 910 is easier for me to work the bsll. Also, I prefer the sound and feel of the 910 over the 915. Don't like the loud crack of the 915 on a well striked drive. I was weondering what experience other have had with these 2 drivers.

I have been playing the 910D3 10.25 with a Diamana 72 stiff shaft since they came out and I really liked that combination.  My club head spead is in the low 90s and ball speed is 133 and I am 68 years old and I hit the ball around 260.  When I went for my fitting most of my numbers were about the same including the launch speed (2000-2500) except the distance on the monitor and I came up a little short in that area with the new club.  The accurancy was the primary reason I bought the new 915D2 9.5 changed to a 10.25 with an Adilia Rogue 70 stiff shaft.  When I started playing with it on the course is when I noticed an increase in distance as well the accuracy factor.  It is a great club.  I have a bad tendency to try to overcook the club and that creates a over the top pull left, but when I hit this new club flush, pow it really performs with a nice high soft draw and long.  Never notice or paid much attention to the loud crack some are referring about.  The sweet spot has been increased on the face of the 915D.

    Duke,

I have about the same feeling as you do on my 910D3 vs my 915D3. The 915D3 is probably a couple of yards longer, the workability for me is about the same. The sound is what has me playing the 910 still. The feel is every so slightly more positive with the 910 for me. So generally I am in the same camp as you are.

I too agree, the 910D3 is the best driver I have ever had. If the 915 sound was a bit more muted I would put it right up there as well.

It will be interesting when the new balls come out to try them with the 915. Might make a little bit of a difference.

Thanks for your post Duke. I've really been planning on a 915 this coming Spring to replace my 910. I bought a new 913D2 this past Spring, and played with it a lot, but eventually went back to my 910D2. The 913 just never felt as good, or performed as well as the 910. Sounds like you had the same experience with the 915 as I had with the 913. I plan on getting on a Trac Man and compare my 910 to the 915, but I just don't want to spend that much money for the 915, and then still end up with my 910 in the bag, and the 915 setting at home in my garage along with the 913.
