  1. I am considering purchase of 915F or 915Fd metal 3 wood. I am approximately 15 handicap. Which of these two clubs is easier to hit from tee and from fairway?

I am looking at the 15 degree club

  2. Jeff J, My advice to you is go to a demo day and try both or go see a fitter and he will help you find the one that's right for you. I was fitted for my driver and I'm sold!!!! Good luck, hope this helps and keep us posted on happens. steve b

I had a 915F 15* and did not like how big the head was so i traded it off for a 915 fd 15* and will be playing my first round with it tomorrow so i will give you more info there but the large 915F head was a pain to hit imo

I thought the Fd models were bigger that the F models.  At least that's how it is the the 910 series.

In the 910's and the 913's, the Fd models were bigger than the F model.  In general, players had perceived the larger head as being the more forgiving model and when the Fd was the larger head, there was some confusion.  The Fd produces a flatter flight, and is lower spinning (similar to D3 in the driver) than the F,  so we decided to make the switch for the 915's..  The Fd is the smaller head and the F is the larger, more forgiving head in the 915 line.

I agree with Steve.  I went to a demo day to make a decision and it was the right thing to do.  The "d" was not the right club for me.  My clubhead speed is too slow and left it out to the right.  Test before you buy.

That has more to do with the shaft and not the actual club head

[/quote] Have to agree with you in some cases, Luke.  My speed is 93 and we tested the Aldila Rogue Black 70 with both heads at the demo.  The certified Titleist fitter set me up with the right club.

The best answer is to get fitted for it. Barring that, however, I'd say the 915F is the better pick. I have the 15 degree 915 F and it's easy to hit off the tee and fairway. I could consistently hit the FD off the tee but not the fairway when I tested them.
