    Hi Jeff,

That's a good question and there are so many factors that could go into it and change how the club is played after someone gets fitted.

To be honest, I believe just based off the stock items and what they were designed for, the AP1's (4 & 5 irons) would be easier to hit and launch higher. The AP1's are "game improvement" irons, so they are designed with a wider sole and also help launch the ball higher.

The T-MBs are essentially a driving iron (updated 712U) and will launch the ball higher then an MB ad CB, but the sole isn't as wide and the CG is placed differently than the AP1's.

As a good rule of thumb and it has been mentioned here a lot when someone is asking about clubs, go try them out and then get fitted for them. See what you is good for you, looks, feel, sound, trajectory, etc. All of these things matter to each individual, as this creates confidence in someone.

What might be "designed" or suggested by the manufacturer might not be for you because you might prefer one over the other. Some people say playing blades is impossible, but some really prefer them.

Let us know what you think when you test them out and what you get.

I have the AP2's and if they are anything similiar to the AP1's, your ball will come down with icicles on them. Very high launching, mind you I have project x shafts in them which I think also plays a huge role in how high I hit it.

Jeff, I like the T-MB 4 and 5 iron I have both the 4 and 5 in my bag, I play the AP2 so I can not say anything about the AP1 but I can tell you from my fitting is that the T-MB was better for me than the AP2. I almost went with the CB but stuck with the AP2. During my fitting I could tell a big difference between the AP2 and the T-MB. This is just my experience but I hope it helps. Also yes the T-MB launches  higher longer and I would also say more forgiving than the AP2 and the CB.
