Re: Cathi, Titleist Club Concierge replied to Re: 910D2 vs. 913D3

thanks Cathi.
I did get fitted for a 905 driver @ Manchester lane a few years ago at 46 inches with a titleist 4650 shaft. my current 910D2 is 45, motore F-1 55 stiff flex. I hit the bassara red 50 gram as  well but it ballooned a little in mishits.
I want to order a 913 D-3 at 46, just trying to figure out the shaft as you can see from my posts.
Does a 46 inch driver tipped vs untipped matter on the launch characteristics? is untipped going to launch higher than tipped 1/2 inch?
i can hit a 46 solidly. I am 56 years old with a scratch handicap and play competititve amateur events, just looking to get a little more yardage, so hence my questions.
thank you very much

HI Phil,  46" will make a difference as (in general), the longer the shaft, the more it will bend.  The average increase in tipping it 1" will be about 1/2 flex.   That 4650 shaft was a Fuji shaft based off the Fujikura SIX.  It was made for the bore thru head at 46".

I am going to order a 913 D3 with a 46 inch  Proforce V2 66 shaft- stiff. My question is should i order it untipped or tipped, and does

untipped just launch it higher and is the shaft a little more whippy than tipping it a half inch?

Hi Phil,  Ordering the V2 untipped will make it slightly more flexible at the tip, but not substantially.

The standard weight that comes with the 913 at standard length is the 9 gram weight.  If you order a V2 at 46", the weight will be a 14 gram and the swingweight will be around D1.

wow!

They told me @ 46 inches, the 4 gram weight would get it to D7 swingweight, that was the lightest they could get it

Hi Phil,  You are absolutely correct.  I fat fingered it, - it is D7, not D1
