CB 712 w/ x100
97mph ave.15-17* Launch
Dist
205 ave range balls
208-212 ave with pro v1x
Dispersion is good with the CB's
Should I be thinking CB's or MB's - whats the biggest different between the CB's and MB's, is it launch. Im told the forgiveness is relative comparing each one. The CB really just affords more launch vs horizonal forgivenss across the face. The sweet spot, is it that murch larger CB vs the MB????
What iron should I be looking at? Do I step up to the MB's
Thanks
Chris,
Both are great irons for being able to work the ball, but you will get slightly more forgiveness from the 712 CBs. One thing to keep in mind is your turf interaction. Players who tend to be more aggressive through the turf may lean towards the CB since the slightly wider sole helps. Some players even use aesthetics as a deciding factor. Maybe leaning towards the 712 MB for a slimmer head profile. The sweet spot for both iron models is very comparable, but again the 712 CB will play slightly more forgiving.

Chris do what I did. Titleist will let you order your set anyway you want. I went p-6 in mb and 5-3 in cb. Best of both worlds and I couldn't be happier. Wether it's the cb or the mb you have to be a good ball striker to get the most out of em and if you are, a combo set of cb mb will be the best set of irons you have ever had in the bag.

Thats what I did. I got 3-7 CB's and now I want to order the 6&7 in MB's. I am waiting to see if I can order them with the same serial number.
I couldn't agree more I ordered the set originally 3cb 4-mb and after hitting the 3 iron and loving the extra forgiveness I ordered the 4,5 cb and love them I would definitely look at a combo set hit both like the my,cb 5,6,7 and then decide which ones you want. Why make it harder than it Already is.
I had the same dilemma last season and ended up going with the CBs for the better turf interaction. I am pretty agressive through the ball and I felt that the sole on the CBs didn't dig quite as much. I thought that performance wise they were pretty close, a slightly higher flight with the CBs, but the feel and forgiveness were similar. Overall I couldn't be happier. The design of the short irons is great too so I didn't end up doing the mixed set. Sometimes I wish I did, only because the MBs are just so beautiful.
