I play off a Handicap of 6 and like these Irons and the weight of the

    Shaft.

My problem is that the ball flight is too high, can you suggest

other shafts that would lower the flight with a  similar weight?

most of my comes at impact as I have compact swing (Hockey)

    Rory,

Try the KBS Tour and the Project Xi shafts. They are mid weight shafts designed to lower ball flight.

    Best,

    Kevin

I was thinking of putting KBS C Taper R+ in my

AP1's to lower the flight, my Irons are 1/2" longer

than standard, would this help as losing too much

    distance with the D.G. XPS300's ????

KBS has a fitting app on there sight that will give you an idea of what will work for you. You're best bet would be to go see a certified fitter and dial in exactly what you're looking for.

The C-Tapers should help lower your flight, compared to the DG XP shafts. Were you fitted for these clubs? You could also hard step the XP's to see how you like your ball flight then. The shafts mentioned above are also great shafts. The PXi is an excellent shaft.

I was fitted but the flight is too high!

the online fitting system puts me

with KBS Tour R+, would this shaft

have lower & stronger flight with

    the Ap1's ?

What shaft would you suggest between

    KBS C Taper  Tour R+ . ( are these stiffer than XpS300)

    KBS Tour R+ or S

    Project Xi  R or S

to lower the flight in my Ap1's and increase distance swing speed 79 - 82 with 6 Iron ( short compact

    swing  ?

the weight of the KBS shafts in Reg are 115g, very close

    to the Xps300's (117g)

    Rory

  10. I'd suggest the C-Tapers in R+ flex. The PXi's aren't bad either. Perhaps you should try, say, a C-Taper in 1-2 irons, and a PXi in another couple. However, it's always best to get fitted for the best, optimal shaft for you and your game. Do you have a Titleist rep near you?

    Hi David,

Yes I may go to a Titleist fitting

session when it comes to my area.

I see the KBS Tour C Taper R+ on the KBS

website says  it suits swing speeds between

75-85 Mph, I'm pretty close to that, I read

that they play quite stiff ? do they have a

harsh  feel like the Project X as I

don't like that ? And would the Reg be

more suitable if they play stiffer ??

I'm getting the XPS300 Hard Stepped

to see if that will lower the flight,

    Rory

  12. Yeah, that should help lower your spin, along with a "higher" launching shaft...that could help lower your flight some.

I've hit the C-Taper X's and PX 6.5's. I feel that the C-Tapers were friendlier than the PX's. They had a much smoother, balanced feel at impact. However, I still like the PX's.

You could play an R flex C-Taper. The R+ could be a touch too stiff. It's just really hard to tell without going through a fitting.

    Hi David,

I will see how the hard stepping goes 1st,

It says on the Uk fitting chart that C Taper R+

is not available in the Ap1's ???

I think the R+ would be better as the flex

    chart says its 75 - 90 Mph & the R is 70 - 85 Mph.

    My speed is 82 - 85 ( 6 Iron ) & I have a short swing

& the power comes @ impact

    what do you think ?

    Hi David,

I got them Hard Stepped & shot 2 level par rounds so far !

they do feel heavier but I will keep going as the flight is

definitely lower & my distance is much better,

    time for some practice,

    Rory
