    hey Team Titleist.

hope this finds you all well and hitting em far & true.

i'm 42, fit (yoga, soccer) and 11.4 handicap that hits a pretty consistent ball with my 913 D2 driver with a Diamana White 72g Stiff shaft.

since switching to the Diamana White, the higher kickpoint def makes the tip feel a bit heavy/stiff (compared to my old Aldila mid kickpoint shaft) and i have to work harder to get the clubface around. and my ball flight is lower than it used to be.

with that in mind, i do like being able to pick a line and knowing the lesser torque will keep me on that target line -- accuracy all day, right????

    BUT...

i recently got the 915 hybrids with the Diamana Blue Stiff shafts and am puring them!!!

the mid kickpoint simply feels better to me, effortless power and distance.

    BUT 2x...

i recently played a rented 913 with Diamana Blue ((( in REGULAR flex ))) while on vacay and it felt VERY whippy and accuracy was compromised.

    SO MY QUESTION IS:

i'm gonna treat myself to the new 915 D2 -- do you think i should go for the Diamana Blue in STIFF (like my Hybrids) or EXTRA STIFF (to reduce torque and maintain accuracy) ???

MUCH thanks for your insights, Team.

hope everyone has a great season!

    your friend,

    JB

JB, I am in the same boat, I'm considered an S+ flex. Currently I play the whiteboard 70/80 S. I am considering playing the Blue 60X/70X (lighter w/mid launch) and ordering that the shafts be installed on adaptor untipped, so it would play softer X flex. I believe Titleist usually tips the driver shaft 1/2" & fairway 1" before they install adaptor. I recommend trying the X "untipped" if in between flexes.

    thx for the insight, MB.

in looking at the numbers, it just seems like Torque wise and such that the X Stiff Blue 60+ is right in the middle of the two options.

    Blue 60 S = 61g / 4.4 torque / Mid Kick

    Blue 60 X = 64g / 3.8 torque / Mid Kick

    White 72 S = 72g / 3.2 torque / High Kick

i swung my White 72 and Blue 60 at a golf store and the Blue def felt floppy.

but the White is a bit too rigid.

don't wanna make too bit a jump in weight an torque as i like the accuracy of a stiffer shaft.

thinking X is the move -- and as i am a lefty, its all custom order anyway.

    thanks again, brother.

    ANYBODY ELSE have thoughts?

Did you try/review the Rogue(s) in Silver and Black? The S in Silver looks like to be closer to the White than the Blue.

    thanks for the input, Don.

i used ot have an Aldila in a past driver and i liked it a lot.

as anyone would advise, i'm gonna go get on a monitor and talk with a fitter to find the best option.

much thanks for the input, Guys.

hope you all have a great season.

    all the best.

I went with the x-stiff in my 915 earlier this year. I was a bit worried, as my swing speed is only about 117 MPH. From the first time I hit it I was in love. My accuracy has improved a lot, and I don't feel like I have given up any distance. I would give it a shot JB if you have the swing speed to support it.

    thx for the shout, Matty.

glad to hear you are happy with the X in your 915 -- do you play the D2 or D3?

my swing speed is btwn 105-115 and i felt like i really needed to get after it with the current White 72 Stiff.

but again, the numbers of the Blue 60 X = the REGULAR flex of the Whiteboard.

so i feel like it could be the right option for me.
