    Singapore,

I was fitted with 716 CB irons with 1/2" short in length but standard lie. After playing for almost 2 months, I felt it's light for me compared to my others iron set so I got them measured and surprised that the swing weight of PW is D0 and others are C9.

Could this be the problem by the manufacturing site when they shorten the iron but not adjusting the swing weight back to original specification as D2?

Hello Michael, When a player orders a set that is 1/2" short, if a specific swingweight is not requested, it will be 2-3 swingweights lighter than a set that is using a stock shaft, stock grip at standard length. The swingweight of C9-D0 is not out of spec for a set 1/2" short without a swingweight specification.

Hi Michael, If your season has not started, what we can do is to bring it in and check to see if the swingweight can be made any heavier. Just take the set back to your local shop and have them set up an inspection.

    Singapore,

Hi Cathi, I will check with the local shop here. Meanwhile I put some lean tape and make it as D2, which I can hit the ball better. Thanks.

    Singapore,

Hi Cathi, I asked the local shop to check with the factory here, is it able to add swing weight but again the answer is negative. They said there have 2 types of head, since my shaft is fitted 1/2" shorter then they already used the heavier head for this, so nothing can be done.

I've another friend also fitted with 1/2" short, requested D2 upon order but the answer is negative as well. So he has put his order on hold for the time being. Wondering how it's handle at the other side of the world?

    Thanks.

note: I'm striking the iron better with the lean weight behind the head, I found this hard to believe that your cannot make the club with proper swing weight as per fitting results. I don't think I'm the first one who asked for this.
