I would just like to say that for all of the haters of rory mcilroy in the world (probably very few) need to back off. I know he hasn't had success lately, but his outstanding accomplishments at the age of 22 erase all of that in my opinion. I know that once Luke Donald starts losing his mental game as well that Rory Mcilroy will blow away TW by far.  So, if Rory Mcilroy reads this I was just like to let him know that even though you haven't had success lately, you have one a major, been the best in the world, are the best in the world as well, and have the greatest swing the game has ever seen all at the age of 22 so instead of looking at the negatives, look at the positives.

  2. Sometimes, some players just go through a spell, but...I'm very confident that Rory will win again, soon.

In my opinion Rory has not gone through a failure of any kind - missing 2 or 3 cuts is not a failure - just the ebb and flow of the game.  This is golf, the game provides ups and downs at every level.

It is incredible to me how the media reacts to a player of Rory's stature missing a few cuts.  It's truly not a big deal in the grand scheme of his career.  This uber-talented kid is going to be a major world-beater for many years to come.  These missed cuts?  Merely speed bumps.

I echo the sentiments of everybody here. I have noticed a few swing faults tht have crept into Rory's game over the last few weeks. He hs got quite active with his body with a pronounced slide, that has meant he has to get handsy to square the clubface, something that he has struggled to do, and has resulted in either high right blocks or more often for Rory, flipping the hands too much and getting hooky! Rory rarely has his coach with him on tour, unlike most players, so these problems can occur, as his coach isn't there to keep these things in check. His swing and problems have then added pressure onto his putting, which isn't the strongest part of his game anyhow, which just compounds the problem. But Rory is a bright lad, and he is more tenacious than his boyish looks suggest. We saw that after the Masters last year. He will get it sorted, and be back to his best in no time I am sure. Just not sure if its too soon for this week though. By the way, I would take his swing as it is, swing faults and all!! Lol.

I agree.  No one should be heckling Rory because he missed three straight cuts.  Everyone goes through those spells, and it is expected on the tour.  Rory still though, I believe is the best player in the world, and he will show us that this week.  He tends to play well in this tournament and I believe he will do it again.  Good Luck Rory!
