Playing down in Texas this year on a local course, Los Ebanos, on a par 5 across water. Water is about 220 yds. from the Blue tee box. Our group had decided that anyone 75 and younger had to hit from the Blue instead of the white tee box so that it would equalize the differences in age when playing on teams that are drawn by straws. You all know how that goes and you do get some that can hit better than others and we all had to have at least one woman on the team. Teams were rated on best score for the team in the best ball tourney. Being the last one up on my team and watching Bill lay up as he was uncertain if he could clear the water. I made the shot of the year and using a ProV1, hit a 355 yd. shot over the water and we made the green in two and as a result and just missed an eagle by inches. I don't know if it gave me a lot more confidence in my game, but it was certainly the shot of a lifetime and at 70 yrs. young I enjoyed every minute of it.

For me it would be one of the clutch shots that I made on the Championship match of my Tuesday league. Nothing spectacular but just making those pressure shots were satisfying. The last approach shot, 120 yd PW that landed about 10ft to the pin which won the match stands out. 

Hopefully next season on my 17th yr it would be my first hole-in-one.... 

My shot of the year (more like a year and a half ago) would have to be my double eagle. It was at River Ridge Golf Club. I played the first nine with two bogeys and two birdies for an even par 36. Went to the 10th hole, a 550 yd par 5. I hit a pretty good drive down the right side of the fairway and found myself 245 yds out. The hole plays up the hill so all i could see was the front edge of the green. I pulled out my old reliable Adams 3 wood, and lauched a nice high cut that looked like it landed right on track for the pin. I figured it rolled over the green and got in the cart, as we got closer to the green the ball was no where to be found. I looked all over the green to keep from getting my hopes up and eventually found it in the hole!! It was amazing but i got nervous, barely pared the next hole and bogeyed the next 4 holes. Shot a 72 only because of a great birdie on the 18th hole. The course played 7200 yds btw.

Holing out a 20 yd over the bunker shot on Riverwalk Friars #8 (403 yd par 4) for birdie with a Vokey 60-07. My drive was a bit high and short so my 2nd shot was a 7 wood to the green and it landed in front of the bunker. Drove around the back of the green, grabbed the putter and saw no ball until I looked in the hole.

I few home and played against an old friend that I'm awfully competitive with. We’re competitive in a variety of things but he just strips the ball off the tee. I usually beat him in the end, but he just loves to bask in the distance of his tee ball. The whole time we were warming up he kept making jabs about his superior driving distance. First hole of our first match he ripped it down the pipe and flashed me a little cocky smile. I just tried to make good solid contact and hit the best drive of my life. It flew his ball with a little draw and rolled it out another 15 yards. It set the tone for the rest of the round and the weekend, and even better, I will always have the look on his face when I said "you're away" etched in my mind.

On October 8th, I made my first hole in one while playing Medinah #3.  I made it on hole #8.

A hole in one with a 4 iron from around 190yds. The best part about it is that it was in the dark while playing for a dollar a hole!!

For Me it was this July in Ma., it was the 18 hole and I needed par to shot even par for the 1st time. I pushed my drive right in the rough, it left me 125 out up the hill and had to go over some trees. With a good swing and good contact the ball cleared the trees and was on line for the pin. With an elevated green I couldn't tell how close I was. When I got up to the green I saw I was 15 feet from the pin. That was my shot of the year. My putt lipped out for the birdie, but I was still happy to shoot even for the 1st time.

for me it was a 5 iron I hit during one of my foursome's final rounds for our season-long competition, The Fed-Up Cup.

I was only about 145 from the 18th green, uphill, into a pretty strong wind, I gripped down on my 5 iron and made a solid swing and just hit the ball perfectly, it ended up about 8 feet from the pin.  It's my shot of year because I played smart by taking plenty of club, and I was able to pull off a low punch show that I had been practicing.  I really wanted at least a par on the final hole, and I managed to get it and win the competition.

Par 5 #14-531Yds., second shot 223 up hill on a upward lie, could not see Green, used 3 iron, new it would draw on the up hill lie, made the shot, could not see until arriving at the green. Ended up appx. 18' from hole. Ended up with Eagle. Thank You

My shot of the year was on the 15th at my home course Widows Walk, Scituate, MA. This short par 5 requires accuracy because there is trouble everywhere, and the fairway meanders left and right. As I always do on this hole, I hit my 910Fd off the tee because the landing zone for my driver is about a 10 yard circle. I was left with 220 to a green guarded by a huge, deep bunker -- it's death down there. I drew my 710MB 3-iron and hit it perfect in every way. I ended up with a 3ft putt for eagle and walked away with my 3. I love it when a shot does exactly what you pictured in your head.

I'm on the 14th hole about 228 yards out. Took my 909F3 18* and hit a Pro V1x to about 8' from the pin with a perfect fade. My playing partner stood there watching it and as it came to a rest said - that's shot of the year....right there. I'm usually not in a position to do so but still, it wound up being the only green I hit this year with a fairway wood.

My shot of the year was my first eagle ever. I hit a perfect 3 wood to the front of the green where I was on the fringe and chipped in. Either one of those were the were my shots of the year. By the way I'm 13.
