Golfing in orlando

I will be driving down to orlando for the day and dropping my wife, her best friend and their kids off at disney. I do not want to go walk around disney and have gotten permission (lol) to golf while they are there. I was wondering if someone has a good idea where to golf for the day. Somewhere that has replay value in that I may have time to play 2 rounds, or maybe 2 courses that are togather. Oh and it will be sometime during the last week of apr to the first week of mar. Thanks for any input.

JOSH, THIS IS NOT AN AD FOR THIS COMPANY, BUT LOOK INTO GOLFNOW .COM AND LOOK AT FLA LISTINGS. THEY'LL HAVE LISTING FOR WHERE YOU WILL BE. YOU'LL ALSO BE ABLE TO GET DISCOUNTS ON TEE TIMES. PAY IN ADVANCE AT SOME PLACES. good luck and play well.

I would also highly recommend golf now.com. They have tons of courses. Good luck!

Champions Gate, Orange County National, Disney, Falcons Fire, Mystic Dunes... I spring breaked there and loved those tracks.

Great selections Jarrod, worth playing for sure.

I agree with Championsgate.  Two courses to play.

Orange Lake Resort and Country Club is great too. They have 2 18 hole courses.  The Legends is by far better than the Reserve but both offer a good challenge and great scenery

Orange County National Panther lake and crooked cat great golf

Great practice facility panther lake is the thougher in my opion

Hi Kevin.

I was over there last August and played the Disney Palms and Magnolia, also played Falcons Fire and Hawkes Landing.

Out of these I can recommend The Disney Magnolia and Falcons Fire very Highly.

If i had to choose one it would be Falcons Fire. Tremendous course probably my favourite away from links seaside courses in the UK. It has good prices for green fees too.

Hope this helps

Sorry addressed the last post to Kevin and it should have been to Joshua. Also don't know why it's underlined. Damn computer!

Still recommend Falcons Fire though. Haha

Good advice Trevor

I've had a timeshare at Orange Lake for 20 years, and a condo across Hwy192.  Great courses and next to Disney.   The Legends is a challenging Arnold Palmer designed layout.  Orange County Nat'l and Champion's Gate is less than 5 miles away.

I would recommend any of the Disney courses, but Magnolia in particular.  Just a thought, if the family is at the parks, you could play Magnolia in the AM, meet up with them for lunch, and then back to Shades of Green for an afternoon at the Palm course!  If you want off of the Disney property, ChampionsGate is the place to go.

Joshua.  I Will be down in Orlando 4-8. Give me hollar if you wanted to play at Orange Lake.
