Deerwood CC, former home of the first round of PGA Q-School, where a lot of the movie Tin Cup was filmed. We have a couple spots still open on Tuesday, September 16th. We have room for 2-3 more to join in the fun. This will be outing #5 for the year. Austin? Dallas? You guys are always welcome.

A great turnout yesterday at Deerwood with 34 players making the round. A special Thanks to Mike DePaolo for joining in the fun and bringing more gifts that we could imagine. Lots of great prizes for our winners as well as several door prizes. We will get some pictures up as quickly as we can. Here's looking forward the time!!

    Maybe next time, Matt!

Waffle House was the perfect end to the "Tin Cup Trip" and it exceeded all expectations...

34 players actually showed of the 36 who signed up--a great turnout.  The weather cooperated (for the most part) with only a short bit of rain for most of the field.  Our Tin Cup challenge on hole #4, where the movie was filmed, resulted in a shot from the plaque to about 6-9 feet above the hole.  Winner received an engraved tin cup, a Waffle House T-shirt, and a DVD of the movie.

We especially enjoyed having Mike DePaolo come down from Massachusetts to participate in this event.  The group always appreciates the support it receives from Titleist and this outing was certainly no exception.

    Here are some photos:

Mike DePaolo talking with Fred C. prior to the event.

Kevin K., Fred C. and me (pulplvr) on the 1st tee.

Another intrepid 4some on the first tee.

Foursome just in front of my group on the 15th tee.

    Prizes awaiting distribution.

Mike addressing the participants prior to awarding of prizes.

    More later.

We had a great time yesterday. The outing was 1st class as was the hospitality. Thanks a ton, Mike D, for coming out! Enjoyed meeting you and seeing all the regulars again, as well as a few new faces. Oh and the course wasn't too bad either!

We had a great time yesterday at beautiful and very challenging The Deerwood Club... definitely glad I decided to put this outing together alongside Chris Price, who, by the way, deserves a lot of credit for taking care of the logistics behind this one.

I cannot thank Mike DePaolo enough for his charm and approachability and for showing all of us what Team Titleist is all about... showing love to those who love golf. Having such a great brand advocate makes a big difference and even makes some of us, sinners that don't play everything Titleist, reconsider such a stance, hehehe.

Sounds like you all had a great time.  There's a great sense of community in the Team Titleist family and it starts at the top with support that Mike D and Titleist provides to amateur golfers like ourselves.

That course was amazing. Thanks to the guys who organized this and to Team Titleist for showing us the love... I will be showing my love by putting a 915 in my bag when they are released!
  21. Once again, had a great time with the Houston WRX group. Thanks to all of you for having such a mix of good and not so good golfers. I know I would never have played a majority of the places I have this year without the group and its members welcoming me and my terrible game (and socks). Looking forward to taking your money (for side games) again soon!

Another excellent outing!  Deerwood CC was a beautiful challenging course with great amenities and an awesome staff.  Special thanks to Mike DePaulo for coming out to play a round with us and speak to the group.  It is customer relations like that that keep loyal customers and will make others consider their brand with the next purchase.  I know I will.  Chris and Hernan did a tremendous job organizing this event.  I am grateful to be a part of two great groups!  Team Titleist and Houston GolfWRX.
