What started as a random pairing at the TPC Boston TT Invitational has now turned into a full blown rivalry.

Friendly post round banter lead to a rematch at Shaker Hills that didn't disappoint.

Although the weather fell below Bubba's Cut off, the day was beautiful- one of those days that John Denver sings about.  Fall foliage and sunshine aplenty.

The front 9 had nothing but highlights from Chris (Speedy) and Rich.  Mike and myself made a plethora of good single bogeys, but found ourselves one down at the turn.

    Hey Josh,

I heard all about the round, sounds like it was a great day! Shaker hills is a solid course, very narrow at times. What was the final result of the match?

Speedy and Rich are a formidable duo.

Rich is sneaky long (won the long drive at TPC Boston) and he's NEVER out of a hole.  Here he is making everyone feel inferior off the tee.

Backs agains the wall, Mike and I found a bit of magic on the back 9.  Roaring back to all square after 11 holes, Speedy's short game kicked into gear.

As if hitting every fairway wasn't enough, on the 13th hole, Speedy rolled in a must make from 25+ feet.  As the putt disappears Speedy decided to give us the Ryder Cup susssshhhhhh, and the motivation we needed.

Mike and I dinged and donged like church bells.  Forcing Speedy and Rich to make several putts to stay alive.  They weathered the storm for 17 holes, until team DePaoloSauce powered back to finish the back 9 1 under- and card a second victory over Rich and Speedy.

Obviously, the 19th was in full effect, and needless to say, the empty cup will make it's 3rd appearance next season.

    Game on boys... Game on

Great post as always Josh..  It was a fun day and definitely had some good laughs..   I'll be honest, i thought we had a good chance after 9 but Team DePaoloSauce turned it around on the back and definitely earned the win..

    Enjoy it for now boys...

Shaker Hill is a must play.  That's all i can really say..  Well worth the trip...

I took one pic of the day (damn finger got in the way top right) and it was on the 2nd hole, downhill par 5..    From left, Rich and Team DePaoloSauce (Mike and Josh) having some good laughs..

Can't think of a better way to cap off a great golf season. Thanks for a great day, guys!

Looking forward to next year and hopefully growing the field...

    Cheers!

That would be me and Rich...   It's worth noting they didn't go cheap with the beers (bud light, bud, coors, etc.) either..  They got the good stuff with a big smile on their face..   Well deserved boys..

Growing the filed is a must!

    Jed,

I hosted a little tournament at my club this year that worked out pretty well.  Be on the look out for the post next season, and come on down.

As for Shaker Hills, It's an awesome track.  I'm sure we'll get another outing.  The more the merrier!

This is sweet stuff! Any of you guys ever though to starting a Team Titleist Golf Tour here, in and around the Boston Area? I am definitely interested in this so we can all play together and create some epic competitions! I would love to put something together if Team Titleist Members are interested.

thats a great idea. There's quite a few of us up here. I've hosted a little tournament the past two seasons and plan on hosting another one. If others wanna get some events going too, you could definitely count me in. We could do a south shore, western, CT, and NH event. My event is in the north shore, so if we could spread it out, more folks could attend. The more the merrier for sure.

That would be a great time! I'm down in CT and Andy set up an outing down here this year. I would be open to helping or setting up another one closer to the MA guys and gals. Good stuff!

Chris  that sounds like a great I idea.

I am sure we could find a course maybe a little North of Hartford to make it a shorter trip for folks from Mass .

I am sure Ben would be of help as he is in that area and could let us know which ones  he is familiar with.

Already getting antsy to get this going !!

Hi Everyone! Happy Holidays to your family, friends, and your golf game! Hope you're all very well! There isn't any snow on the ground (yet), but I am antsy about next season already! Hoping for a mild snowless winter to hit up courses on the South Shore and Cape area! As I have mentioned, I am interested in and have been working on a format to create a golf tour for us TeamTileist Members. I wanted to reach out again to get a feel for who is interested and where your locations are so I can further put this together. My plan is to put together 5 total events. 4 Qualifying type tournaments and 1 Players Championship. The plan is to have 1 tournament a month or more if we have enough interest and bandwidth to play. There will be a point system and pots to win. I plan to use a BlogSpot site to post results, info, and so forth. During play, we could use Golf Game Book to keep up with the leaderboard in real time! This is all top level stuff and whoever is interest, I would love to brainstorm and get your input! As we get closer, I will plan to create a new discussion on TeamTitleist to see if we can draw more participants. Please feel free to add me as a friend on TeamTitleist and direct message me your email, location, and any notable courses of interest. Definitely reach out to me for more info and any questions! Ideas are welcome!!! Thanks! Go #TeamTitleist !

Sounds great to me CoolBreeze!   The only question i have is, will this be broken down by handicap?  Have separate groups, etc. if you know what i mean?   I live in New Hampshire by Portsmouth and don't mind driving anywhere really.  I've driven to CT to play in a TT outing and it was well worth the drive.

I'm thinking of joining the NEPGA and doing the New England Series.  I like the format and how it's broken down..  Gives everyone a chance.  And the course you get to play, very nice..   Just looking to have more fun next year..

For now I'll have todeal with winter, putt around indoor and play with my ProVs..  I know I know but i'm bored and  2015 can't come fast enough...

Have a little too much time on your hands Chris?

Coolbreeze - I'd be interested as well.  I drove up for the outing hosted by Josh and plan to do so again.  I think my leash extends from Portsmouth to Newport to Springfield, and of course, Connecticut.

Wow Chris, It's been snowing for about an hour now and you're already creating ProV1 sculptures?

    Mr Breeze,

I'm interested in this idea.  Thanks for taking the lead on this.  As I've said, I'll do a tournament a Thomson again this year, so feel free to make that part of your Tour schedule.

@Christopher H and all else that are interested. ..."The only question I have is, will this be broken down by handicap? Have separate groups, etc. if you know what I mean?" Answer... I will need everyone's handicap and we would all have to agree on how we verify depending on where the handicap is posted. We would then use 75% handicap for the entire field based on the slope/rating of the course/tees in which we'll play. There will also be a point system so players can accumulate points to qualify for the Team Titleist Players Championship. I plan on creating a pot that players can win at each tournament based the number of participants in the field for that event/tournament. A player would have to cover green and entry fees depending on the course that we can book. These are ideas that I am scratching on paper and willingly accepting suggestions or feedback. I know you guys are good at golf and I want to meet as many of you as possible then have the opportunity to tee it up. I think this will be super. A few of you have expressed interest and reached out to me. What I will look to do is send you what I have scratched on paper and ask for feedback. Thanks again!!!

Looks like a great day was had by everyone!  Fall golf in New England is outstanding - only thing better is golf anytime at Augusta, but I digress...

Unfortunately, most of the ground is now covered with some type of snow.  So our hopes of another round here in New England will come probably in March or April if we are lucky.  The winter does make for a great time of year to plan and practice!
