Hey TT, Well I've had my FJ Sport shoes for two years now and it's about time I get a new pair. I'm looking between the D.N.As and the HYPERFLEXs... Any suggestions as to what you think I should get? I know there are going to be very few people who have tried the HYPERFLEXs as they arent available commercially for another month, but any suggestions would help. Thanks!

I have the DNA's and I think they are the best performing shoe I've worn to date. They also have a pretty classic look. I got a chance to see the Hyperflex in person a while back and they are pretty impressive. Although I don't know anything about their performance other than that Hunter Mahan seems to like them, as he has been wearing them for a while. I think it comes down to trying them on and hitting shots in them side by side. Also, depends if you prefer one style over the other.

I had the same thought and glad Chris chimed in...   I usually wear the contours and late last year i picked up a pair of DNA's..  I have to say i'll never go back to the contours..  Nothing wrong with them, just the DNA is honestly the best golf shoe i've worn in a long time..  light and super comfortable to play in...

I'll admit i'm not  fan of the Hyperflex style BUT I'm still going to try them on at the store and see how they feel..  Who knows i may pick up a pair...

Looking forward to hearing reviews on the Hyperflex from amateurs...

Love the DNA's.   Check out     http://www.footjoy.com/community/        Its a similar forum as this but more FJ rather then Titleist.  Excellent group with great feedback and info

I have worn a plethora of the FootJoy offerings from Dry Joys, Tours, Icons, Sports, and DNA.  I have to say that the DNA is by far the best looking and most comfortable shoe ever! Further, I'd say the DNA is the best...#1 Shoe in Golf!  One bit of advice to Acushnet...DO NOT STOP PRODUCING THE DNA SHOE!

    Jacob,

I have been wearing DNAs since September.   I love the fit and feel.  I walk at least 9 holes a week on a slightly hilly course.  You actually forget that you have the shoes on your feet.  It is a great shoe... well worth the investment.  Keep it in the fairways!

Very different shoes, but both are great.  The HyperFlex is the newest to the FJ line.  DNA came out last year and was a big hit.

The HyperFlex have more color choices than the DNA.  They are very light as well.

I have the DNA BOA's and love them.  Looking forward to the BOA release in the HyperFlex.

My recommendation - buy both.  You can never have enough options for your feet.  It is like building a house - you need a great foundation.  FJ provides many options for a top of the line foundation.

I'll echo what Chris said, since he and I are both FJ Community members.  If you're ever curious about any FJ product that is a great place to go.

I have two pair of DNAs, they're completely worth every penny.  Most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.  These replaced my XPS-1s and are equally stable in my opinion and more comfortable.  I'm still looking forward to the Hyperflex coming out, may have to add them to the rotation.

I have the DNA's and they are super comfortable. I need to send them back under warranty though. They sound like I'm walking on a sponge.

I love my DNA's too; but thought I was the only one that had the squeaking issue. Beside's that they are extremely comfortable.

Haven't had an opportunity to try the Hyperflex yet, however I am an avid FJ wearer. I love the DNAs lightweight, great upper, and good stability. Couple things I would look at and that's the way you swing, your method of play and your foot. If you need the extra stability do to your swing that might be a factor, if you walk more than you ride that could also factor in, and overall you need to make sure the shoe feels good on your feet. Different FJs set up better than others based on those things, my recommendation is to try them both or more FJ options and find which one fits best for you! No matter what FJ you choose you won't be disappointed.

How soon do you need them?

Personally I just picked up a set of white on gray DNA's and couldnt be happier, Very comfortable, great stick on turf, Flexible, and form fitting.

I don't think I care for te x TRaining loook of the hyperflex, but I bet it's a great shoe.   Demand might be high when it comes out.

From my experiences and talking to others, I think the DNAs and Hyperflexes will be very similar in comfort.  the Hyperfelx should be a little lighter.  Probably the biggest deciding factory will be style.  Are you going to want a little more traditional looking shoe, or more of a sneaker style?  Either way, you can't go wrong with either style.

I have a number of FJ shoes from Icons to contour Casuals.  I have a pair of DNA's and found them light and comfortable.  I have not tried on a pair of the Hyperflex as they have not been released yet.  I can give a positive recommendation to the DNA.  I think that style is what may swing you to one or the other.  I think that they both would serve you well.  Both have spikes on them and I am not sure but the sports were spineless which may be a factor in your decision.  My suggestion is to go try both on at a retailer or golf shop and walk around a little then decide.  Good luck but like i said don't think either would be a mistake.  FJ makes great shoes.

  17. The Hyperflex feel like tennis shoes with cushion...however more stable than I anticipated...FWIW

    Jacob,

I just replaced my two year old FJ Sports with with a pair of DNAs. I found the fit and comfort of the DNAs to be very similar to the Sports. The DNAs feel a bit heavier on my feet than the Sports.

I am guessing the Hyperflexs will be solid shoes as well, so it probably comes down to which pair you think looks better.

    Good luck!

If you haven't made your purchase yet, I'd say "DNA" all the way. Super comfortable, with still the golf shoe look. I'm not really one for the sneaker look shoes, so I'm DNA or ICON.
