Hi Team Titleist,

We’ve got some exciting news – this year we are hosting a few Team Titleist Invitational golf events across the U.S. but before we make any plans, we need your help in picking the destinations.

That’s right, you guys get to decide.

Visit http://www.titleist.com/invitational and cast a vote for your home state. You can vote once a day from now until June 21st, so keep coming back to help your state climb the leaderboard.

And don’t forget to share with your friends!

P.S. Each vote counts as an entry into a random drawing for a chance to win an invitation to the event as the local Team Titleist Invitational Ambassador if your home state is one of our final destinations.

Good luck!

Justinu3

This is AWESOME news!

Can we travel to nearby states if say Illinois or Minnesota have more people?  Unfortunately my state is small...

1 vote for Iowa!!!  :-)

AJAR

Thanks so much to TT for this great event!

Jim A

I am hopeful that is the case, but it states that it is an "Invitational", so I am hopeful that they will send invitations to member from the area and surrounding area states.   We can just vote and hope at this point.

For me, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota are aill great choices.

Good Luck to all, this is a very cool opportunity, as with all of the opportunities are here at TT.

Tyler H

I have my vote in for Wisconsin, but willing to drive anywhere.

Awesome news.  I would travel anywhere to play in this.  What a great opportunity to meet fellow TT members.

Memphis, TN is very centrally located.  Would make a great spot for a TT Invitational.

Texas - I like the idea of either playing The TPC Course at the Four Seasons Las Colinas - home of the Byron Nelson or Redstone GC in Houston, home of the Houston Open. Both are public access and excellent courses that could handle such an event.

Montana in the summer is a great time of year.  Northern Pines Golf Course would be a great spot too because its close to Glacier Park and people coming from surrounding states could send their families doing that kind of great stuff while there are here.

Thanks so much to TT for this great event!

I'll second that.  Should be a barn burner!!  Thanks TT.

Mike, what a great opportunity to start an annual event.  I imagine this will be a huge sucess.

Being part of the original Team Titleist campaign back in Sept of 2010, which was branded "first-of-its-kind event".  A select few were great at Ball Plant III, received a full overview of the plant, the production, and the quality people who work so hard to make our golf lives easier.  To top off the day, we were the very first to not only see the 910 with Sure-Fit technology, but actually got to go down to Mancherster Lane and demo the club.

Having the opportuntity to participate in this event would be second to none.

Hope to see you soon.

-Brian

I will root for any state that's within a six hour drive.

New York really needs to step up their game and if Massachusetts pulls through that would be awesome.

This is a no brainer, Myrtle Beach,SC. There are over 100 courses in Myrtle Beach alone. TT Members could play multiple courses over a 5 day period and this would be the Golf Trip of a Lifetime sponsored by Titleist.

Go South Carolina,Get the vote out.

Hi pulplvr,

Thanks for the note and sorry to hear about the trouble signing in. We just tested the link again with a few different test accounts and were able to get signed in to vote without any issues. Are you still having trouble logging in?

This is the first we've heard of the issue and I assure you we are not trying to prevent anyone from voting. Please let us know if you are stil experiencing any issues logging in. Thanks.

O-H-I-O!

Maybe I'm missing something, but isn't a given that the most populous states will probably win this by default?  Don't get me wrong.  I'd be willing to travel anywhere to play as I've read that this is a really fun event in which to participate.  I just don't understand all the voting since if you look at the top 3 as of today, it seems a no-brainer.  I still want an invite, though!

David C

You definitely need to host one in either Massachusetts or Rhode Island

Hi James,

Thanks for the post. I wouldn't say it's a given that the most populous states will ultimately wind up atop the leaderboard. Every Team Titleist member can vote once a day and there are already some states in the Top 5 (Massachusetts as an example) that fall outside of the Top 10 most populous states in the U.S.

Also, there are only a few percentage points separating the Top 10 and with voting open until June 21st - it's still anybody's game.

Remember, the more each member spreads the word and gets out the vote for their state, the better the chances that state will have to climb the leaderboard - especially if members vote everyday.

Thanks again for the post and good luck!

James S

Thanks for the reply Mike D.  I think I understand it better now.  Some people may not necessarily even vote for their own state because they want to play in CA or FL or TX, or anywhere else.

No doubt Josh is right here.  Local pollsters say that there were multiple reports of voter fraud in south Florida.  All the snowbirds from MA still voting in Florida getting counted in FL instead of MA.  This needs to go to a re-count!

Hi Mike, any updates on the Team Titleist Invitational?  I am hoping that I would receive the "golden TT" ticket to the event.

Hope you and the team are enjoying your summer so far.

Out to the RI State Am tomorrow and Wednesday at Quidnessett CC, wish me luck, I think I will need it to make it to match play.

Has there been any mention of which states won? When and where the events will be held?

The winning states are Florida, Texas and California. We are still in the process of putting together all of the details for the different events. Stay tuned!

Thanks,

Mike

Brian D

Mike, do you have to live in one of the states selected in order to participate?

Thanks, Brian

Mike D., Team Titleist Manager

Hi Brian,

You don't have to live in one of the states. Keep in mind, we will be extending a limited number of invites to Team Titleist members for the different events. We'll do our best to include as many people as possible but we won't be able to invite everyone.

As always, the more you participate and the more engaged you are with Team Titleist, from posting in the discussions and adding blog comments, the more likely you potentially open the doors to these Team Titleist opportunities.

And remember, to complete your profile on Team Titleist to ensure your name gets into the pool of potential invites.

Cheers,

Mike

Brian D

Thank you for the clarification.  What a special event or events to coordinate.  Keeping my fingers crossed!

I think that Massachusetts would be a great place to host an invitational on the east coast.

So many amazing courses to choose from.

Mike D., Team Titleist Manager

Here's the latest... we are targeting Oct., Nov. and Dec. for the potential event dates. Unfortunately no specifics are available yet. Hoping to make some significant progress this week and next.

I promise I will keep everyone updated. As you can imagine, planning these events takes some time and there are a lot of moving pieces and parties involved.

Thanks!

Hats off to Mike and the TT Team for organizing these events!!

DR. K

Doc,let me guess. You attended UT, right? Manziel's a 20 year old kid! He's young, dumb and full of himself. Yes, he was raised in a wealthy home and feels a bit superior to the rest. However, this latest incident might just "wake him up" and knock him off of that perch he's been standing on. Still, what one does at age 20 shouldn't affect him any more than Cam Newton was affected by what he did at Florida. Furthermore, if an NFL team feels Manziel has the skills to make them more successful, they will try him out. It won't be wasted $$$ though as the NFL makes so darn much money, it'll be a no more of a waste than Ryan Leaf was.

That won't stop people from asking for Manziel's head on a platter. Some people just can't have a good day unless they can bring down "the mighty"

As for Jordan Speith, I've known him since he was 10 years old and he is a decidedly different person than Manziel. Jordan is a truly good guy with a level head, that KNOWS he can play golf, and will play golf with anyone, not just celebrities.

No!!!!!!! I'm not a Longhorn...Actually went to Indiana University and unfortunately I'm a Fighting Irish Fan and witness to young athletes making mistakes on a regular basis....#5Te'o....The funny thing about this is that the Heisman Voting Committee might like invisible girlfriends more than the Autograph Broker today...

Dr. K - you do have your own cross to bear with the Irish. LOL One thing that occurs to me is at least Manziel provided something of value that was his to give, unlike the Terrell Pryor and his guys at OSU. The NCAA may have to concede that, given the amount of money the schools make on the names of their players, the payers should be able to make money with their own names. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Late to the game and just realized the states have already been selected.

Would love to represent Massachusetts at one of the events.

Fingers crossed for an invite.

Go Team Titleist!

kevin f

Could not agree more. What a great opportunity.

Any idea how long the event lasts? Is it a one day event?

Just curious.

Christian G

Hey Mike, any idea when are we going to find out the venues and the invitees for these events?  Looking forward to finding out the details.

Here is the latest update from a few posts above...

http://www.titleist.com/teamtitleist/team-titleist/f/9/p/21500/97842.aspx#97842

Here's the latest... we are targeting Oct., Nov. and Dec. for the potential event dates. Unfortunately no specifics are available yet. Hoping to make some significant progress this week and next.

I promise I will keep everyone updated. As you can imagine, planning these events takes some time and there are a lot of moving pieces and parties involved.

Thanks!

Dr. Kovatchian

Mike D.

October thru December is pretty awesome here in Austin...Hopefully we will make the cut for the host site!!!

On a side note I played at the JW Marriott Resort TPC San Antonio a few weeks ago...Amazing Facility and Two Great Courses both of which host PGA and Champions Tour Events!!!! This place would be an awesome site to host the Texas TT Invitational. Hotel and great restaurants right on site.

Hoping to get an Invite!!!!

Would be Honored to be the Ambassador....

Cheers,

DR. K

Greg P

Never mind.  I was going to offer my help to you picking destinations and attendees.  Others beat me to it.

Marc S

Dr. K,

Being bold here, but if we both get an invite, any chance I could sleep on your floor? Willing to drive anywhere but lodging would be tough. Thanks in advance for your consideration. Fingers crossed for invite #teamtitleist4life

Eric B

Glad to here you narrow it down to the last three months of the year. Should be nice weather in sunny Southern California. You pick any course and I'll make the time. Sound like it's going to be a great event.

Hey Mike,

One question about invites.

Will members from the all states get invites, or only those in the states that are selected?

Would love to represent Massachusetts if given the chance,

Thanks,

Kevin

Hey Marc...certainly hoping for an invite as well.

Would love to host some folks but not too sure how the wife and kids would react to some new TT friends.

Hopefully once a destination is chosen and invites are sent out I'm pretty sure there will be guys looking to share hotel accommodations to keep the cost down.

Cheers!

Keeping fingers crossed on a Texas event. Still relatively new to the Team Titleist site but would be extremely grateful for an invite.

Just checking in to see if there are any updates on the Team Titileist Invitational.

Looking forward to seeing which locations have been selected.

Hitting the range just in case I get the call.

GO Team Titleist!

Brian D

Hi Kevin, the locations have been selected, there are within this string.  Mike D is still working out the details for each of the 3 events.  I am keeping my fingers crossed and eyes close on the email, hoping I make the cut.  Best of luck to you as well.

Whenever and wherever, this will be a top notch event.  TT knows no other way!!

Thanks Mike for all you do.  I get comments every time I'm out on the course about my beautiful TT bag.  I tell anyone and everyone who will listen about what a great company Titleist is.  It's an easy sell when I rip a 265 yard AP2 712 3 iron off the tee.

Tim

kevin f

Can't wait to try out the new 714 AP2's when they come out in November.

Looks like I know what I'll be asking for my January birthday.

Might need to be an early present if I'm lucky enough to be selected to participate in the Invitational.

The suspense of the Who, Where and When seems to have most us as giddy as kids waiting for Christmas Day. I am no exception and would love to get get a look at the 2014 gear Titleist will have on hand. Moreover, it would be great to get to put a few faces on the names we come across online.

Still, am I the only one that would like to get fellow TT members together for a "playday" on our own? For example, are any of  the TT members in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area interested in doing this? We could also do it in the Austin area and open it to all TT members in Texas.

Monty m

Fred C
, will be in the DFW area at Christmas time if you want to play a round.

Brandon C

Hey Fred,

I would be interested in attending a Texas TT meet up. Even if the TT Invitational is chosen for Texas and the very slight chance I'll get an invite, I'm up for playing golf anytime, anywhere. PM if you need help and I can see what I can do to help organize a separate Texas TT event.

Thanks,

Brandon

Fred C

That's the spirit Monty. Perhaps we can find a way to get a TT outing set up during the holidays. I may start a new discussion to see who's interested and get tee times at a public access course.

Mike C

Still hoping to get an invite to the TT invitational in Texas to meet everybody, but I am definately in for a local DFW get together over the holidays tht we can set up ourselves locally.

pulplvr

FReddy, I'd also be interested in participating in a TT event, even if we don't get to attend The TT event.

sounds like a great idea Freddy!

Fred C

Hey Josh! Perhaps TT will set up a link to where we can find local golfers to create local events. Until then, I'm going to have to make up a Texas outing and see who wants to play. When that happen, we may have to get you to come down to Texas for a visit.

Chris P

I'm up for a get together in the Houston area.  We need to find a way to contact each other without having to post contact info on the page for all to see.

T.Tiger

Hopefully the TT details will be hammered out and they will let us know something soon.  Would be an honor to attend one of the outings and meet some of the members here.

Great idea Fred.

Anyone TT members out there interested in getting together for a Massachusetts outing?

Might be nice to organize a fall outing.

Would be willing to organize a day out if anyone is interested.

You can certainly count me in for a MA or RI event.  More than happy to play with fellow TT members.

You guys better get a move on.  You'll be playing in knee deep snow with yellow balls in a month. LOL.

Have fun!

Fellow Mass./R.I. golfers here is a link to a new thread so we can try to get a local and informal meet-up on the books. As our good friend Michael Breed says, "Let's do this!".

This will cap off a wonderful year for Titileist and it's Team Titleist members. My game has been down lately but TT invitational will be fun. Hope to be one of the few. If not, congrats to all the chosen ones.

Lets get a Team Titleist Local Event happening in Ohio for Fall Golf!  Anyone interested, if so send me a private message...maybe in Cincinnati or Columbus?

Christian G

Yeah, the season is running out for some of you Northern states.  Your TT event may have to played indoors on a simulator if you get an early snow.

I have a feeling we'll be hearing the specifics + invitee list pretty soon.

Trevor A

+1 for UTAH!

T.Tiger

Hoping the events will be announced soon.  Would be great to attend one of them and maybe catch a glimpse of the new clubs and accessories.

Me too! Holding my breath like it's the powerball jackpot!

Anxiously waiting in Massachusetts too.

If you are in the Massachusetts  area, we are planning a local TT member event.

If you can join us, that would be great.

White bluff golf course and resort near Whitney Texas, the former site of the Texas open and rated 4stars by golf digest! Also has two courses that you could work with

Greg P

So what was the final decision?  Where was the event held and who were the invitees?
