Post your season goals

For this spring I want to perfect my short game. I will be working on my half swing shots and my feel around the greens. Need to learn to pitch and run shots instead of only lobes and flops. Need to take more practice swings and visualize the shots.

I agree with you, I really need to improve my short game as well.  I always want to be the superstar and flop it up on the greens, but that doesn't work to well.  I hope to perfect my short game as well, and know that the ProV1x will help me a ton!

I want to be more consistent with my shots into the green and have more GIRs.  Oh, and playing more golf would help that.

I set a goal last year that I came very close to.  No 5's on the scorecard.  Almost did it on two separate occasions.

And as always play as much as I can and try to meet up with some of my online friends for a round or two.

We've got to get out and play this summer.

I had an 18 pars round and an 8 birdie round which involved no 5's only a 6 on a par 3 lol!

Def improve on short game (60 yards and in) and break 80.

    • Break 90, my low score is 91, if only I could eliminate the blow-up hole....
    • Lower hcp to below 20, it's 22.3 now
    • Make putting part of my practices
    • Work on ball striking
    • Play at least twice a month

My goal this year is to have fun. I was awaiting a knee replacement last year and playing was painful. I don't get to practice a lot because of my knee and back.. Playing golf is all about having fun and a few laughs with friends when you play. So stay happy everyone

2nd year of golfing more than once a year.  Broke 100 for the first time last year, goal for this year is to get into the 80s at least once!!!

Putting, Short Game.  Can't tell you how many stokes I've given away wih the putter.  I can have a stellar sub par round in the works, only to derail with a sudden case of the yips and three putts.  It kills me.  While my short game has improved considerably, it still needs some work.

    I'm with Daniel R...

    Here's mine:

    • Break 90 consistently, my low score is 86
    • Lower average on My Game to under 20.  2012 was 24
    • Improve course management (think a shot ahead of my current one)
    • Play at least twice a month (which with a second child coming might get tricky!!)

Since I am a true realist in respect to my golf game and with the physical handicaps taken into consideration; my goals for the 2013 golf season here in upstate NY are simple: work hard on improving my short game pitches and chips, make more putts from inside 10 ft., practice as much as possible and most of all, enjoy every chance to get on the golf course! I am flying out to Oceanside, CA again to visit with my son who's in the Marine Corp stationed @ Camp Pendleton. I'm taking my all Titleist Bag with me so I can get some early season practice in @ the base course practice facility while I'm out there. I hope to play a few area courses while I'm there as well. When I was out there the previous 2 times, I was lucky enough to play Torre Pines N & S courses and several others in the Fallbrook/Temecula area. I came back home to NY in mid season form when most golfers around here are only getting out for the 1st time. My wish would be to drop another 3 handicap points from my current 7 handicap by reaching my goals. I'd like to send a special "Hello" to all the staff and fitters @ TPI, Oceanside!
