We were slated to be the first group off Saturday morning October 22nd. However, when we arrived there was frost covering the ground & had to wait until it melted to tee off. As a result of the delay there was a backlog of players and the starter decided on a shotgun start to get everyone on the course. Our group was asked to go to hole #5, a par 3. I stepped up first, took one practice swing, looked at my buddies and said "this one is going in" (not the first time I've said this). Sure enough, I hit the ball, it landed about 4' in front of the cup and rolled in. My first hole-in-one and the only I have seen in person.
