My First Ace

April 7, 2013 - I was golfing with my wife, my father, and my father-in-law. We started on the back 9, so we were on our 15th hole. It was hole #6 at Heritage Shores Golf Club in Bridgeville, DE. I was not hitting the ball very well this day. The tee was set up at a distance of 130 yards to a slightly elevated green and we were hitting into a stiff 20-25 MPH wind. I chose my Titleist 712 AP1 6 iron to allow for the wind. You cannot see the bottom of the pin very well because the green drops off away from you. I saw the ball hit the green, take a couple of bounces and then it appeared to drop but I was not 100% sure. I looked at my father-in-law and said "I think it went in". He looked at me like I was crazy so I waited for him to tee off and then we moved up to the senior tee for my father and the ladies tee for my wife. As my wife was addressing her tee shot my father -in-law told me to run up a 7' hill adjacent to the tee and see if I could see anything on the green. I did so and told him I did not see anything on the green. At that point I was really starting to think it was in the cup because I did not think it ran off of the back of the green. We got to the green and there it was in the bottom of the cup!! What a great moment!
