An Ace for the Ages

An Ace for the Ages

This June, I was playing a late afternoon round at my home track in Milan, Tennessee. I woke up that day expecting to be playing in a church league softball game that night, but the game was called off and several members of my team decided to meet at the golf course instead. In front of five of my best friends and people that I've been playing golf with since I picked up the game in 2011, I stepped up on the first tee box, a par 3 that played at 168 yards that evening with a slight wind in the face. With a 7-iron in hand and a 2014 Titleist Pro V1 on the tee, I hit a baby fade that landed about five feet from the hole, checked up, and died into the heart of the hole. WE WENT ABSOLUTELY CRAZY. People playing on other holes of the course heard the commotion and made their way to the first tee box to join in on the celebration. Hitting my first hole in one in front of my best friends is something I will live the rest of my life without forgetting. I can only pray that I am fortunate enough to hit another hole-in-one in my lifetime and that Titleist plays a critical role once again!
